Sent an email to Disney while still on holiday telling them how disappointed I was with event and just got off the phone and they have given me a full refund. $210. Very surprised but happy. Straight back in the Florida 2015 fund.
I have never written a complaint letter before and took me a while to decide if I should bother, didn't want to feel negative on holiday, but glad I did now.

You're lucky! We found Disney customer service to be terrible when we complained after our wedding. Had to fight for every penny we got from them. Well done for complaining.

I've heard reports that it was so poorly managed they are giving these refunds away like candy.

They easily give away refunds if they know they are at fault and it isn't just too high expectations or guest error.

Not in our experience.

They couldn't have made more errors on our wedding day and although they accepted that they had been poor, didn't want to part with much money....surprise surprise!

Glad they came good for you and all the other people they let down. Whilst we love it, Disney can be shambolic.

Great news :)

That's definitely what the folks on TPAS were saying - full refund or an offer to swap for other hard ticket events with no questions asked :)

Wish we had complained, but at the time it didn't even cross our minds:-( I did fill out a questionnaire they sent out just after the event venting my disappointment!

I would still send an email, I complained about an event once we got home, they called me a few weeks later and issued a full refund.

I complained at our Concierge desk, and when they couldn't get through to DHS (and apologies a lot about that), I emailed them. I got a call the afternoon of the day we landed back in England and they offered me a full refund (which I took)... she did say she'd send an email confirming that, which has never turned up, so I hope the money does. I'll chase it if it doesn't.

I also complained about the event when I got home and got an e-mail today confirming that they are going to refund the ticket costs.
