If those same villains from Mix and Mingle are indeed the ones at the new event (sounds probable to me) then it stands to reason they will no longer meet and greet after the shows. Almost all of them are available elsewhere to meet that night, so technically they aren't taking anything away from the average partygoer. EXCEPT, Dr. Facilier is the one I wanted! Maybe they'll set him up someplace.

Guess we are really getting in to speculation at this point, but I can't wait to get the real scoop after the 1st party so I can tweak my agenda as necessary. I won't bother with the show if there's no M&G after.

Almost none of them have been in past years. By my count, only 2 of the 6 have been named to appear elsewhere this year.

It sounds as if there will be at least one less Mix and Mingle show for 'standard' party attendees. Didn't we already know that they wouldn't be meeting following the Mix and Mingle? I thought that was announced last week or so.

Nope. Only that two would appear at PFH. That does not mean in and of itself that the VM&M is over.

The popular “Villains Mix & Mingle – Live on Stage” returns to the Castle Forecourt Stage several times each night, with an unforgettable performance by beloved baddies from Disney films. Throughout the evening, guests interested in meeting their favorite Disney villains will now encounter them at locations around the park. Look for Jafar in Adventureland and the Queen of Hearts near Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland, while Lotso lurks near Buzz Lightyear in Tomorrowland.

At Princess Fairytale Hall, guests can choose between visiting Anna and Elsa or dropping in to see Snow White and Aurora, but be warned! The Queen and Maleficent are crashing this princess party, joining Snow White and Aurora for the night.

I went ahead and booked for 10/10. It's really no harm, no foul. I'll give it a couple if weeks if reviews, if it is lame I will just cancel. If it saves me from having to stand in line at Fairy Tale Hall to meet Maleficent, I'll be appeased. I'm running under the assumption that Fantasyland is going to be an epic nightmare and Disney has a serious crowd control issue on their hands with day guests that will still be in line for the Mine Train as the party begins each night.

You pay at the time you make the reservation correct?

And we know Maleficent and the Queen will be with Aurora and Snow White. Though not all these were in the castle show, does that just leave Facilier who was, and is not listed somewhere else now?? I was never big on the castle show.

Thanks Mesa. My memory isn't what it once was. I could have sworn that Jafar was a regular at the M&M. I do know that Lotso was elsewhere, though, as we got a few great photos with him.

Any word yet on whether Captain Jack will be around again this year? I never got around to seeing him in previous years and was hoping this might be the one.

I don't buy that they'd remove that M&G either.

I highly suspect they are dropping the meet and greet. They have put Maleficent and the Evil Queen at Princess Fantasy Faire. They have put Cruella and Dr. Faciellier at the Frontierland Dance party

They have put the Queen of Hearts by the Tea Cups and Jafar in Adventureland. That means the onmly ones missing are Frollo, who usually was standing around without many people taking pictures with him anyway, and Captain Hook.

I suspect they got tired of the shoving matches after the Mix and Mingle, and decided to move most of the villians where they could be met, or at least danced with, elsewhere, and decided to make money off of doing a private meet and greet inside CRT as well.

I might be in the minority, but I think spreading the villains out is a good thing. I never wanted to fight the crowds after the M&M to try to meet them -- it always looked like such a MESS to me.

Would much rather meet in an orderly way in other spots (or I guess attend this new event if they're all there??).

I suspect they got tired of the shoving matches after the Mix and Mingle, and decided to move most of the villians where they could be met, or at least danced with, elsewhere, and decided to make money off of doing a private meet and greet inside CRT as well.

I must admit, being up front during the end of the M&M could be a bit scary. I haven't had a crowd push on me like that since a general admission metal concert! It was all over so quickly, very few could actually meet them.

Oh it is going to be orderly all right, I'm guessing the line to meet Malificent and the Evil Queen with Sleeping Beauty and Snow White will be 2 hours or more most of the night. I bet it will top the Jack and Sally line. Unfortunately, I will be in it because for the first time this year, DD is dressing as a villian instead of a Princess. Well, technically she is young Maleficient, which isn't exactly a villian, but she will definitely want her photo with Maleficent. Last year it took 10 minutes- this year it will probably be hours!

ITA. We've been up front during various M&M shows just so that we could queue up "easily" for the villains. Well, it's not so easy, plus you have to compromise on seeing the show from a good vantage point. I'm glad they're spreading it out. However...I think having a paid event inside a paid event is just bad form. But I guess it's par for the course these days...MNSSHP+???
