I have stayed in both a 1br villa at the WL as well as a cabin at FW. I LOVED the villa-but it was just me and my fiance, and we were upgraded to it from a standard room. I think with a family you may be happier at the cabin: especially because you say you are interested in the activities at FW. I think young children would be happier staying there, and although the two resorts are near each other, it can be annoying catching the boat everytime you want to go to activities at FW. They have the campfire at night, a good buffet, animals for the kids to visit. The cabin also has a full kitchen so you can save money preparing meals; the cabins have a regular size dining table (I think seating six) while the villas' table only accomodates two-the two of us found it small to eat on! I think you'd be happier saving the $840 and spending it on something else-or saving it for a future
trip!
