Villas at WLodge question--

When discount rates come out-- such ad BAT, BAS or Florida resident rates-- can these be used for the Wilderness Lodge Villas or other home away from home resorts? Just curious?

I've been able to get quotes in the past with some code rates on the home away from home resorts. If you're interested it can't hurt to ask

If available, yes, but that's the big phrase, if available. The Home Away From Home resorts are DVC resorts, in which DVC owners have stake in 96% of the rooms. Only more can become available if DVC owners trade out their rooms for non-DVC accomdations, otherwise the rooms available for cash bookings is small.

Yes, there MAY be Disney Vacation Club rooms available with any of the discounts. The last group of codes that just ended had a VWL studio for ~ $220/night, including tax, in December.

Since it takes more points to stay on Fri & Sat nights, it can be approximately the same cost or a little less to pay a discounted cash rate on those nights (based on an average cost of $10/point). Cash reservations get daily housekeeping, if that matters to you.
