Hi All, I'm a bit confused and need your help. I'm trying to plan for a December trip for my family and we were interested in getting a 2-bedroom at VWL...so I looked up some room videos on youtube to see how the rooms looked and I can across the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQb6idsuJl4 and the room looks amazing and new! However, I also came across a second 2 bedroom video and the room looked like it needs major updating. Has the VWL gone through a totally remodel and I just didn't hear about it? Maybe the video I came across is actually a grand villa? So confused, please help! thanks!!

That video depicts the current room condition following a renovation which took place earlier this year.

However, I'll note that if you plan on booking VWL for December '14 using your own DVC points or rented points, you have very little chance of doing so at this late date. December is a very popular time to travel on DVC points. Right now only a half-dozen nights are available in a VWL Two bedroom, scattered throughout the month.

You may still be able to pay cash through the Disney website or a travel agent, but prices are likely to be upward of $600-800 per night (plus 12.5% tax) for a Two Bedroom villa.

There are no grand villas at the Wilderness Lodge.

The room featured in that video is one of the few "corner rooms" at VWL. They are larger and laid out very differently than most of the 2BRs. It does show the new furnishings from the recent refurbishment but there appear to be some differences, for example I don't think the non-corner 2BRs have that large dining table.

It's slightly amusing that they posted that they were at the end of the hall so that's why the design was different. Except it's actually an atrium room and almost right in the middle of the full building. They obviously did not round the corner past their room. :)

Does anyone know the room numbers for these type of rooms with the larger dining room table, would love to request one of these!? thanks!
