I was wondering if the 7month & 11 month booking window apply for this hotel? The agent on the phone was very confused when I called and I was not able to get a straight answer.

DVC members cannot book the hotel side. They can only book the Villa side which are definitely subject to the 7 month and 11 month booking guidelines. One reason why I bought there!

Thanks for the reply. Sad that guest services is so confused. Does the hotel book up early? Wondering if I should rent points from someone for our trip. We're looking to go **.

Yes definitely. There are only 48 units in the resort. Very limited unfortunately. Right now that I know of they are booked solid until at least december. I didn't check January onwards but I would definitely take into consideration renting from someone who has the 11mth booking advantage just to make sure. Especially if you are not flexible on your dates.

I'm hoping to get in at 7 months next May. Cross your fingers! I almost bought points there but it turned me off that the points started with June and I have an April use year. So I would not get points until 2010, where others started in June 2009.

You can't. A member would have to check.

They were not booked solid in Nov. for studios and 1 bedrooms as of last Friday and there was quite a bit of availability at that time.....

We were fortunate to book a 2br villa at only 3 months! Looking forward to our first stay end June!

That must be the one period I didn't check...
I tried Sept, Oct and Dec. They couldn't give me a straight week available.
And I've been following GCV thread with people saying summer availabilities are really spotty too.

OP, don't believe what I said then... maybe I was just unlucky...
