Villains vs After Dark-wait times

If we had to choose between Villains or After Dark on the same week, which would you think/know has less wait times? Is there enough special stuff going on to draw people away during Villains to lessen waits? Thanks

I hate generalizing when it comes to Disney things because these things aren't always the same experience on any given night, but the general consensus is that VAH is a more crowded event than DAH and likely/potentially has a higher attendance cap. Both are lower than daytime crowds and events such as MNSSHP and MVMCP.

Our DAH was much less crowded than the VAH. If my goal was to get on as many rides as I can, I would pick DAH. We literally had the park to ourselves. When my family attends any themed event, such as VAH, it becomes a balancing act between rides & the various activities/themed food options around the park (and therefore we don't ride as much). That being said, at both events, the last hour the wait times were nothing.
