I'm trying to plan a 14 day trip to Disney for 2 adults in September. I would like to stay on Disney property since the majority of our time will be spent there, but I need a place that has a full size fridge and a washer/dryer in the room. Can anyone recommend something that isn't crazy expensive? Thanks!

Not crazy expensive with a full kitchen, washer and dryer?? On property, I don't think there is such a thing, lol. A studio in any of the Villas is expensive and that's not what you are looking for. You would be better off renting a vacation home close to property.

What do you mean by crazy expensive?

Check out OKW 1 bedroom villas. The studios don't have a washer and dryer in the room so you need a 1 bedroom villa. With the 30% spring discount that is currently out they run about $400 per night. You can also look into renting points from a DVC owner.

If $400 or so is crazy expensive per night then you probably are better off staying off site or changing your requirements.

A full kitchen plus washer and dryer would be in a one bedroom DVC villa. They are pricey. The most economical way to book them would be to rent DVC points either privately through an owner, or through a service such as DVC by Request or another one.

Could anyone recommend a nice place offsite then? Maybe one you have stayed at that has what I am looking for. Thanks!

I think your only option onsite is a 1 bedroom vacation villa at a DVC resort.

As for whether that is crazy expensive, I'd certainly consider it crazy expensive, especially when you look up the prices you can pay for a suite offsite. Then it's up to you if staying onsite is worth that much more.

You might try Bonnet Creek. Wyndham has a timeshare there and it is just off the edge of Disney property, right next to Caribbean Beach Resort. You don't get Disney transportation to the parks (you can use Bonnet Creek transport, but it's not the same). No free dining, no Magical Express, no FP+ ahead of time.

Try looking for a condo in Windsor Hills on a site like vrbo.com or homeaway.com. It will be more space than you need for 2, but that's what you'll have to do to get a full kitchen and washer/dryer in the unit.

You could get a cabin at Fort Wilderness for the full kitchen, then use the laundry facilities near the pool. Especially if you stay at loop 2500, you'd be right there.

Those can run under $200 a night, depending on the season and discount available, so the price is reasonable. You can sleep six and there's no extra charges for adults in the room.

We've used the laundry and left our clothes to do other things in the cabin and the pool and it's safe to do.

Otherwise, you're in a 1 BR villa. The studios at DVC have access to a free laundry in the hall or near a pool, but you'll only get a kitchenette.

Disney and inexpensive just don't work.

that say you can rent from a DVC member at OKW for $210 & up sun-thurs
$260 & up for fri/sat for a 1-bedroom villa

for a studio (no kitchen/washer/dryer) - as say the washer/dryer are at the pool - it does have a kitchenette - you might be surprised what you can do in one - for around $100 for sun-thurs, $130 for fri/sat.

this is at $10 a point.

a broker will cost you more.

what you get is up to you.
