We will be in Orlando December 22-29. We've always stayed on property, but I think we'd like to have some room to spread out this trip. Dh's snoring will have us all up the whole week! :lmao:

We will be dining on property, and going to DTD several times but will be spending our days mainly at Sea World. Can anyone recommend some condo/villa/resorts that have 2/3 bedrooms, preferably with private splash pools/spas that are closer to SW than Disney? I'd love to spend less than $900 for the week.

Thanks!

I am looking for the same info! We stayed at Windsor Hills last time, but want to do Universal and Disney next trip. Hopefully we both get a good answer :)

Vista Cay looks really nice. It's 2 miles from SeaWorld and 4 miles from Universal. I've also read some good reviews about Hilton Parc Soleil and Hilton Grand Vacation Club. HGVC is a SeaWorld partner hotel and you could get complimentary quick queue which may come in handy during Christmas week. Good luck with your search.

I am searching for a two bedroom for a last minute trip- Aug. 10-16 and also for Dec. 15-22. Price is an issue for me so I will go with the nicest place at the lowest rate (even if its a little further out).

Dh was worried something would go wrong, and he'd be fixing a house issue on his vacation! :rotfl: We decided to go for a 2 bedroom suite with full size kitchen at Homewood Suites by Hilton near Universal. I got an awesome deal for only $106 a night.

I would recommend the Hilton grand vacations resorts either at sea world or I-drive. Both are really close to each other. My favorite is the one at sea world, its been recently renovated and is nice. They do have a 3rd but its in the middle of nowhere right now and its nicer than the other 2 but I prefer a better location.

if your a shopper the one on I-drive is right next to the outlet mall. They are both a couple blocks from each other. I also have stayed at a Marriott nearby but prefer the Hilton.

Vista Cay is a wonderful resort that is only 1 to 1-1/2 miles to Seaworld, about 3 miles to Universal. Upscale condos and townhomes and a great resort with 10,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse similar to Windsor Hills (built by same builder). Built 2006-2008.

We are staying in this townhome:

We have really liked dealing with these people so far. It's a $250 deposit and the rest isn't due until 30 days before your stay. Most others require 60 days beforehand.

It's a 3/3 with a splash pool and as you will see when you click on the site, there are many other condos and townhomes to choose from.

They only do Saturday to Saturday rentals, but that works for your dates.

We're staying March 9th-16th and before taxes and pool heat, it was around $900. With taxes and pool heat, it's closer to $1200. It might be a little on the high side for you, especially since you're going at a very busy time of year. I love that they have Mickey touches everywhere...that was my one "requirement" for staying offsite on a Disney trip. ;)
