Villa pool heating?

Tricky one, generally May through September the general advice is no you do not need it.

October , some will say no and some yes - I will say 'yes' to be on the safe side and get pool heating.

I can't say for October but we definately needed it the first week of November, if it was me then i would get it heated.

It is recommended by pool owners Oct.-Apr. If you should choose to not get it and the pool is cold and then you ask to get it, it will take a day before the pool is fully heated. So you have lost 2 days in your pool. If you are like us we use our pool more then our home so it is worth it.

We are having pol heating this time in October, we didn't the last time and the pool was slightly cool, though everyone was able to swim. the fist time we went to a villa in october the pool was heated and in the middle of the day it was like swimming in soup. So I guess it depends on how warm you like the pool to be

Yes I think it's worth the cost, we were there in Aug/Sept and for me it was only just warm enough!

Beware of villa owner who charge for pool heating and then set it to the lowest heat they can. We had a villa once where we paid a shedload for the pool to be heated and it must have 1 degree warmer than if it wasnt heated !

Definately go for pool heat.I left the second week in September last year and I was about ready for the pool heat.Especially if there is a spa,its awful not heated.
Too much of a luxury to miss out on in my opinion,

Lynn

I would get pool heating in october and it is often needed for the hot tub if there is one.

YES

we had it these last two weeks, as it can be chilly at night when you get in or early morning,

Giving it a lot of thought :thumbsup2

Yes I think so, we made the mistake of not having it in early Nov and we ended up having to pay more for it to be put on when we were there. We certainly wouldn't have been able to use the pool without it - well unless we were drunk and fully clothed! :teeth:
