Hi Everyone,

New to the boards and would like to say a big hello to all.

We have booked a Villa for August 2003 in the Crescent Lakes (Cypress Woods) area of Kissimmee, any information on the area including restaurants, shops etc would be appreciated.

I'm sure that other dis members know more about Crescent Lakes than I do but I'm a bit concerned that nobody has provided you with any info before now. It's not a very good welcome to the dis boards I feel.

Any way here goes:

I have driven past the entrance to Crescent Lakes but never stayed there. It's in a quiet and rather pretty area off South Poinciana Boulevard. There is a Publix supermarket about 2 miles away but you will probably wish to travel 6 to 7 miles north along Poinciana Boulevard to SR 192 to find a huge selection of shopping and restaurants.

Continuing west along SR192 for another 6 to 7 miles will bring you to the main entrance to Disneyworld. On the way you will cross I4 where you should take the I4 east turn to get to Sea World and Universal studios.

Don't be discouraged by what appears to be fairly long travelling distances: the roads are good, the cars are comfortable, there is a lot to see and the journeys are usually quick.

Have a great time

Hi Allan,

Sorry can't help either - don't know a great deal about Crescent Lakes but I am sure alot of others will be able to give you more info. I see that you tend to visit WDW every couple of years or so, obviously a big fan - you could probably tell me more! This October will only me our 2nd trip.

Welcome to the boards.

Welcome to the DIS Allan :)

Here is an earlier thread - if you scroll down the post from UKDeb may be useful to you. It seems that this a new development and so there aren't other earlier threads about it.

Can't help with the question, but welcome to the DIS

Thanks for the greetings and the information.

I'm sure that in the months to come we'll be asking your advise on many subjects. Even though this will be our 4th visit theres always something to be learned from others....

Allan
