Hi Everyone,
We're looking to book a much postponed trip for the 1st 3 weeks in March next year and would like to try a villa.
I've had 1 quote for a townhouse at Windsor-Palms which looks lovely and is inclusive of pool heat but it's over £1500 for 3 weeks and as there are only 3 of us it's quite a lot to pay. Also DD is in a wheelchair so needs a ground floor bedroom with bath not just shower.
We would like something around that area if possible with a heated pool (doesn't need to be a big pool) .
If anyone has a recommendation for a villa they have used or if anyone owns one around there and would like to pm me with details and a price I'd be very grateful.
Thanks a lot ,
Carol

I'd say that this price is fairly reasonable. We're due to stay there in a weeks time, and we're paying £1,100 for 2 weeks, excluding pool heating, which would be about £75 per week. Can't really comment on the access/bathroom issue. There is a Winsdor Palms website, but I don't know whether they'll be able to help.

We used Sunsplash Rentals and got a price of £1200 for 3 weeks in August. March should be a bit cheaper as it is outside the peak period.

They are really helpful and relaxed on the phone too.

we stayed at windsor palms in a townhouse last month and i would definately recommend it. it didn't have it's own pool but there is a community pool which doesn't have any steps into it so wheelchair access is easy. They did have townhouses with pools but they were really tiny, you wouldn't be able to swim in them, they were more like hot tubs. We had a patio area instead which was nice to sunbathe in!

we booked here:

Their offices are quite close to Windsor Palms and we paid no where near £1500!!! They have prices on their site, i had a quite look and 3 weeks beginning of May next year looks to be under £1000.

Hope this helps!

I would like to say I have booked 3 times with Villa Direct and I would highly reccomend them.

Thanks everyone,
I've had a look at the sites and they certainly have lots to choose from but the prices come up in dollars. Is the exchange rate fixed at time of booking or do you take your chances when the final payment becomes due?
Carol:confused:

the exchange rate will change, i would pay for it all now while the exchange rate is good if you can afford to!

If you wait until next week, I can get you a contact from a mate who returns this Saturday, he is over there now, booked up a year ago, has a delux villa sleeping 5 for £250 per week.

I will post details next week when he gets back.

we have a villa booked for may 2005 and have got it for £300.00 a week. we have been on the polo esprit before and like the location, if you go online and just search villas you will get loads coming up, also Daltons weekly are really good,
Best of luck

We have looked at Windsor Palms and just found them a bit too expensive, nice though.

Just staying off the 192 is where we tend to stay and can recommend Indain Point and Cumbrian Lakes.

There are 3 of us also, which can be a problem because most of the nicer homes seem to be 4 bedroomed, however, most times we go we do ask for a discount because of the size of our party and usually get one.

vr360homes.co.uk is worth a look

We've just booked a villa for 3 weeks in Aug 2005, 6 adults and 2 children. We were quoted £400.00 p/w. But if we booked 3 weeks we got the third week half price. £1,000 in August.
It's a private villa we found in LOOT.
Situated at Autumn Creek Circle just off 192.
Seems like good value to me:tongue:
