Has anyone ever used www.villadirect.com ? I am curious on if they are good to work with.

Maybe because you have a lot of owners on this sight who prefer you book from them over this site??? Who knows really? I find it funny how a person can comment so obscurly rather then saying exactly why thye have an issue with this management company. Maybe because there is no issue after all? Hard to be an issue after all if one "never used them"

Anyway:

The reason I chose to use them above renting by owner was because I was leary being a first time home renter to go with something as iffy as an owner rental. Yes, there are great owners out there but for every 10 there is one that is not so great.

So far the service I have recieved has been outstanding! The women I speak to throughout the booking has been incredibly helpful. If she didn't know the answer, she contacted the owner and got the answer for me. I got free pool heat for the 10 days I am staying there.

The home I rented is Mickeys Paradise which is at Windsor Hills. A great location only 10 minutes from WDW.
I will be going there in 15 days so will be able to post more about whether or not the home lived up to my expectations. But so far from what I have experienced I am very happy with going through Villa DIrect.

Do a search on this site. A while back there was quite a heated discussion about them which the mods had to close. I'm not sure whether people want to repeat it.

I rented from an owner at WH condo and villa direct was their management co. I didn't have any problems.

I read some of that thread too, and several other threads too, that did not shed good light on this management company.

I'm sure they have plenty of rentals without problems, especially in some place as new as WH. If they didn't have a decent number of successful rentals, they'd be out of business, since competition is fierce in Orlando. However, at least on these boards, they don't have a very good reputation for customer service.

I've had no personal experience with them, so your mileage may vary. Go with a positive attitude and just be ready to insist that things are corrected if they aren't just right when you arrive.

LisaBC, this has nothing to do with VD but when I was on the Park Strategy boards I noticed that you would be a MVMCP on Nov 12 and so are we. If you see 3 women ( one older two younger) black hair, blond, and red, with 2 little boys that's us. Hope is a great night !

We used villa direct twice. The first time was good no complaints. The second time we arrived to the home to find construction going on right behind the house. What made me a little upset was there was supposed to be a lake behind the house. We called to complain about the noise, its hard to enjoy the pool with construction. We could have moved 15 miles away, we were 3 miles from the maingate of Disney. So we opted for the 15% discount. Unfortunately it was never credited to us. I called many times and nothing.

I have to be honest the only reason we rented a home is because I was so afraid to fly we drove to Orlando and stayed two weeks. I have since realized I'ts better to fly and stay on Disney property. Plus I no longer have to do laundry or cook on my vacation. Remember when you have a pool in the yard you have to wash all the towels.
