Where is the best location to have a room at Wilderness Lodge Villas? Is there a better view? Is there a great room location. Thanks for your help.

VWL is our home resort but we won't be staying there until October.

You may get a better response over on the DVC board. There are posters who will know an answer to every question you have.

I read that the 2nd floor is smoking. You didn't say if you needed smoking or non-smoking.

Are you going on a cash reservation? When we tried to book cash reservations before we owned there we were told that it would be a standard view. I don't know what that means but I thought it meant we wouldn't be looking at the pool or lake.

Definately post this over on the DVC board and I'm sure you will get an answer to your question.

:D

From our experience, the best thing you can ask for is a view of the lake (which is minimal for most of the rooms). Try and get it to the closest side of the main lodge, looking over the quiet pool. I understand that there are some rooms which do not have balconies, so be careful about that.

You may also want to post this over on the DVC Forum, lots of DVC folks over there with extensive knowledge of the VWL. You'll probably get more info than you need :)
