Viewing Illuminations from Norway? (Akershus)

Is that side of the lagoon a good place to see Illuminations or is it best viewed from Canada/UK?

I think its a wonderful view as I watched it there lots of times during my College Program in 2002 (as it is the closest location to watch and then get to the college program bus stop). I also found back then that the wind never really blew in that direction so you never had to worry about the smoke blowing towards you.

But there is a nice section of fence with no trees, and if you get there early enough there are a few benchs you can grab and turn around so you can sit and watch.

I think I'll adjust my ADR for Akershus then. Had it for an EMH Evening at Epcot but think I'll switch to the day before (less crowded).

Illuminations is at 9pm virtually every night of the year (except for nights near the holidays when the later Candlelight Processional is given. Then Illuminations is at 9:30pm).

The actual answer is neither/either. It really depends on which way the wind is blowing. You don't want to be down-wind so consider where the smoke from the pyro is going to go before selecting your viewing loacation.
