Once you're a member and you log into the booking system are you able to see all availability for all the resorts at 11 months? Or can you only see availability at your home resort(s)?

You can see all availability.

You can see all, but there is a trick to it. You can only see it if at least some of the days you want are available. Sometimes, you might have to experiment with several dates before you can see the availability. Once you see it, you can view all dates up to 11 months.

The Resort Availability Tool (known as the RAT here) will allow you to see if there is at least one villa available for the dates /resort/villa size you select. The RAT is separate from the booking engine which will not allow you to see anything you cannot actually book.

Exact inventory is pretty useless information. With over 100,000 members, availability changes moment by moment. If you are ready to book, you should be using the reservation tool, not the RAT.

Disney doesn't need the phone calls that "there were 10 rooms available yesterday, something MUST be wrong that they all disappeared today" Ten rooms can disappear very quickly especially right at the seven month window.

Does the booking engine have a name? Since we are looking to purchase resale, I wonder how I'll learn all these steps. Are there tutorials once I sign up on the website? Will I be able to sign up once I have a member number??

It's just Book Online.

If you've booked a hotel, airfare etc online I'd think you'll have no problem. No tutorials but it's not difficult if you're used to websites and computers. And you can always call in too.
