View of new fireworks from GCH balcony?

has anyone watched the new fireworks from the viewing balcony at GCH yet? Is the view any good from there?

Mom and I are both claustrophobic and will be on scooters, so not sure how to handle viewing in the park. I was wondering if viewing from GCH would be a viable option.

I have not seen the "new" fireworks, but we used to get a DTD view room so we could watch the fireworks from our balcony. Some have better views than others. Of course you do not see the castle or matterhorn special effects.
We did this when my daughter was young and it was too much to stay in the parks that late. We would get back to the room, get all ready for bed and then watch the fireworks.
