How's the view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks from Fort Wilderness? Is there a sweet spot for an non-tree-obstructed view?

Where is your favorite location in all of the surrounding area for watching the MK fireworks?

Anywhere lake side is good for watch'n MK fireworks.
At the marina they pipe in the MK Fireworks music.
BUT my favorite spot is where the canal at 300 loop meets the lake to watch the fireworks, :thumbsup2

Right on the beach to have the music which enhances the show, but my personal favorite is right at the circle on Main Street with the thousands of other people, just so I can see Tink!

I was warned that I would get choked up the first time I saw her, and sure enough, I did!

Best view is from the beach. You won't be able to see the lower stuff but the rest is great...

That looks perfect! The kids are afraid of the noise of the fireworks, so seeing them from a distance it what we're looking for.

The first time we saw the electric boat parade, it was in 2006 and we were headed home for the night after a day at EPCOT - we had taken the monorail to the Magic Kingdom for some reason... anyway... we saw the lit up floats in the water and we just were in awe of Disney... little magical touches like that everywhere. Everywhere you look, there is something special and magical going on. :lovestruc

When do they have the electric boat parade? We're going in September and my kids would LOVE this. This is the first I've heard of it.

It was at 9:40 last week but with the switch to DST it might be later.

We went to Fort Wilderness for the second show of HDDR last year and walked down to the beach to watch the fireworks before the show, I thought the view was good

Thank you again! This will be our third time staying at the cabins, and I am learning so much on these boards about things to do that I never knew were there! We're deffinetly going to be spending some time at the resort this trip, instead of the entire vacation at the parks.
