If you look at the photos up at the top of this forum,
Picture #1 - this is the side of the Swan that is actually facing the Dolphin. Your view would be of the Dolphin as shown in the top right photo (only more straight on). (Fireworks are faked out in photo). The side wings would have more limited views of not much of anything. Lap pool on outside of right shown wing. Boardwalk entrance on left side of left shown wing. The walkway to the Dolphin comes out between the two wings. If you walk out from the right wing in the photo & go thru the palm trees you will walk around the pond to the swimming pool and back around to the Dolphin. The center photo (small one) shows the side of the Swan that faces the parking lot. We were up at the top left #1262 just to the left of the black center panel on the building. We could see the back side of the boardwalk, the top of the Epcot ball to the left. Straight out was the parking lot (Whoopee!!) and to the right was the TOT & the Fantasmic auditorium (you could not really see the show at night). To me the distance is enough that nothing is an outright spectacular view but it is very pleasant. Does that make sense? I didn't worry too much about our view (horrible thing to say). We watched our fireworks at Epcot and DS was the only one who watched at all from the hotel (he HATES loud noises - I did that when he was young by dragging him to a fireworks display). He went out on a very small balcony off one end of the building facing towards the boardwalk and could see a small part of them from there. Now I am not saying I would want a dumpster view, but you get the idea. I don't sit in the room and stare out the window. Now at Animal Kingdom it might be another story.
And you can see what happened here - same thing as happens to us on the S/D thread. ......I started rattling on and on and on and on. But seriously, if you want to visit our thread, don't be afraid of asking a question. We love to answer them. In between the questions we just love to chat - we have all become friends and we have a tendency to get carried away. But everyone is welcome - normally we will get you an aswer in a page or two. If not, say WAKE UP - listen to me and ask again!!
