View Choices

Hi all,

I am going to book a room today at Aulani but I have a couple questions I am hoping to get answered. I originally wanted the 1BR OV Villa but no OV are available for the dates we are going. There is the 1BR Island Garden View and Poolside Garden View. Can I get some suggestions or opinions on which room you would pick. Thanks, your help is greatly appreciated.

I personally would save the money/points and get an Island Garden View. When we went in February, I requested the highest floor in that category in the Ewa Tower overlooking the lawn where they hold their luau. I had heard that you might be able to see a sliver of ocean if you happen to get a high enough room. I also liked the idea of possibly hearing the luau from our balcony. Turns out, when we got there, we were upgraded to an ocean view (the cast member at check-in was amazing!), so I don't know how the island garden view rooms actually are. I will say that I love how lush and green everything is around the pools, but I imagine that it can maybe get a little loud if you are on a lower floor. I'm sorry I can't give a more definitive answer, but hopefully this will help in guiding you.

I hope it works out! Either way I'm sure you will have an amazing stay and I personally love the Ko Olina area as it is super quiet. Also remember to get poke bowls if you like seafood.

I'm not a view person so not the person to ask but ...
1. Pool views are the first 5 floors pool side (not very private).
2. We always book Island view Ewa tower highest room and ended up with a view that would be considered an "ocean view" at WDW. Until the resort next door is built, pretty much an ocean view. I wouldn't spend the extra points.
