Videotaping an organ recital

OK, I've been asked to videotape an organ recital for a friend. I have a Sony Handycam (Mini-DV) available to me, with just the two built-in mikes on the front. I'll be using a tripod and just letting the tape run. My question is, are there any tricks or tips you good people might know of to help the sound turn out decent? The hall was specifically built for pipe organ recitals, so I'm hoping it won't be too live. I also have the opportunity to attend rehearsal the night before.

Is there anything I can do to prevent the music from completely overwhelming the built-in mikes? Unfortunately, separate stereo mikes are not an option.

If you have any suggestions at all, I'll give them a try at rehearsal so I can evaluate my options.

Thanks!

you didn't mention about which miniDV recorder you'll be using. If possible, set the audio level accordingly (do the soundcheck during rehearsal). That's just to make it not distorted.

To make it sound decent? unless you use external zoom mics or stereo feed from a mixer, there is no way to make it sound decent.
