Has anyone tried the videos you can buy for the game boy advance systems? I'm thinking it might be a good way to occupy dd on the plane or in lines. But then once she's seen the video, then what? Maybe its better to buy a new game or two.

I thought about buying the video, but @ 19.99 I think a game would probably occupy your DD. I know my DS and DD would probably enjoy a new game.

Thanks for replying. If we can get a GBA for her I will get some games rather than the viseos. She loves her brother's gba so maybe it's time to get her own! Except new ones on amazon are $99  so maybe I should check out ebay or something.

Bought my son the video for his GBA and he loves it. Keeps hiim busy in the car and gives him other options rather than playing his game. He and his younger brother watch together. Really cool!

Be sure and get the GBA SP ... screen is backlit and comes with a rechargable battery and charger ... much nicer than GBA or GB Color!!!

Check out your used game stores. You can usually pick up a game boy color and even the advance pretty inexpensively. You can also get games there as well. Most of these stores have a limited return time so that if a game or system doesn't work you can return it for full credit. I have never bought a bad game at one of these places and my son buys and trades a lot.

These videos are wonderful. They came out around my sons birthday and he recieved lots of them as gifts. Each video has around 4 episodes and is around 60 minutes long.

Thanks for the help Everyone.

I didn't realise each video has around 4 episodes and is around 60 minutes long. I thought it was one episode per.

Does the GBA SP have an earphone jack? Otherwise we might be very unpopular on the plane ride ;)

We don't have used stores here and are limited to internet shopping. Any suggestions for places to check out other than ebay?

Thanks

The GBA SP does have an earphone jack, but there is a catch. You can use any earphones as long as you buy the SP adapter, in order to plug them in. We bought the adapter at Target.

I was thinking of getting one of these for my DD's birthday in September. She is always talking about it. And now that they have videos, I'll probably buy it. She wanted Video Now for Christmas, but I didn't get it because it was in black and white. GBA is in color, so that's much better.

WOW! Guess what? Our oldest just gave his GBA to his sister. He has a GBA SP. Isn't that nice? So we're only going to buy some more games and accessories.

Yes, I really didn't understand why "in this day and age" the Video Now was in black and white.
