Hi there everyone,

I wanted to know your thoughts on videographers, I was looking into Starfruit, STVS or a Moment to Remember after seeing reviews on the DIS.
Did you have a good experience with any of these companies??

I was really looking to keep video cost down since photos are more important to me, but I still wnat to have our vows/1st dance/cake cutting etc. But the prices for all of these are more then my photos and way more then my dress lol!

I am totally lost with what to do, so any help would be much appriciated.
Thanks everyone

PS- Please excuse my post of this on the other board, I have no clue where my head is lately lol!

Have you thought about going with Disney videography? Bruno White entertainment is who they use and they were wonderful. The DVD came out beautiful!!! They video taped the rehearsal dinner as well since my daughter had upgraded her package and received 6 copies of the DVD so each of the parents and whoever wanted a copy could have one. They were great to work with!!!!

We have decided that we can't afford this videographer in this economy. That and mom my is really anti videographers for some reason. But we were told if we were going to have one that Jeffrey Stoner was the best of the best (prices start at $5k). His website I think is www.stonervideo.com

I used Stan from STVS. We did a 4 hour package, it cost about $1,700 and we were able to get all the things that were important to us taped. A moment to remember would be another option because they are very afforable. You don't want Disney videography, as it runs at $3,000-5,000

Another option is Cinemedia, not alot of brides on the board use him. I found him through an Orlando local news station that voted him one of the best in Orlando or Florida or something....I did a google search for Orlando Videographers. I sent away for a demo video and that his work was great!

I can't speak for his finished work yet, because our wedding is in 6 months. But he's very personable, we met him in person and he was really easy to get along with. He also let us pick out all of the elements in our package. We truly have a very customized package and he was really good about us doing that.

Also I know STVS has a joint package with Randy Chapman and it looks like a really good deal! I didn't do a cost break down of it, but I know they offer it and alot of brides like STVS too.

Good Luck!

Thanks Ladies,
I am looking at all the different websites now, I love Starfruit but they seem to cost the most $$, so I think they are out... STVS seems reasonable at first but it's all the extras that add up, if I did the $1765 package and add the Raw footage it comes out to just over 2K which is pricey but we could manage if i make a few cuts other places... do you really need a super edited video though??? I am just not sure...

IMHO, it is worth it. We ended up with a video that's about an hour long. It is edited really well.

At first we weren't so sure about video but we decided to go with STVS. For me personally my DF is in the military and when he is away I would like to be able to watch him in video rather than on photo. Plus I also think it's one of those things that you would wish you had later. I always think it's best to work it in if possible!

Stan at STVS is fantastic. I talked to him on the phone at one time about an hour working out a package and what I wanted. I think that if you talked to him you could work out a package to get the things taped you want and keep it at a cost that is affordable to you. Stan is a great guy and his wife Bonnie is a sweetheart. Give them a call. It can't hurt! :thumbsup2

Due to the high prices, we weren't going to have videography. However, at the last minute we found 'A Magic Moment' and the prices were quite reasonable.

We went with one of the cheapest packages, and it was less than US$600 for the taping of the ceremony, and the cake cutting up to the first dance. The video is nothing fancy and has ver basic editing, however we did like the final product and the most important thing for us was to have the event documented, so we could share with the people that wasn't present. It includes an introduction to the actual wedding, and at the end, images from the photo session.

So if you are in a budget, this may be an option for you. They also have more upscale packages with more hours / fancier editing.

Thanks everyone, you have all helped me figure this out now.
I have contacted STVS and A Magic Moment and am going to present all the options to DF tonight to see what he thinks. My dad is helping with the wedding so I really am trying to keep the costs down ya know?
I'll let you know what DF thinks... maybe we'll hit the lottery tonight and won't even have to worry about it :lmao: !

As Kendra mentioned if you're looking at STVS definitely check into the joint package he is offering with Randy. If you're doing an Escape wedding the package is $1285 and for Wishes it is $3645. These prices include the video and photography which is great!

I'm throwing my suggestion into the ring a little late, but I went with Cinema Chic, and never regretted it for a moment. We just got our full length video, and it's really amazing. You can see a sneak peek of the video here on her blog (We're Tabetha & Greg - the Disney Wedding!)

Her prices are really reasonable, too.

I'll chime in for with a very positive review for A Moment to Remember. We decided to add video a month before the wedding so a lot of the companies that are typically used on here were already booked so I did a ton of research. We found Joe and couldn't have been happier with him. We ended up having two videographers for the ceremony and then one for the reception (8 hours of video for one guy, 1.5 for the other, approximately) plus we got the hour long video and our raw footage for around $1200 which fit in our budget

Here are some clips from our video. PLEASE NOTE that these in no way represent the quality of our dvd, which is crystal clear, this is me using editing software to cut up sections and upload them to photobucket.

Thanks Tiffani, your video looks great! What a great price for all the raw footage too! I had no idea they were THAT inexpensive:goodvibes
