Has anyone ever tried to VIDEOTAPE fireworks shows? How does it go.. LOL- Because some are so beautiful- but I've tried to take pictures, and I'm just too slow! Soo- I end up with a roll of film that captured night sky.. (Disney Mum upset when developing! LOL)

we've managed to videotaped IllumiNations twice and Fantasy in the Sky once, and they turned out great...you just have to have a steady hand and don't let the camcorder jiggle around or bounce around or anything like that. You'll be much happier... ;)

I video the fireworks, I'll find a spot where I can setup a small tripod, using my DVD mini cam, put it night time setting and just let the camera run without starting and stopping, this way I don't miss anything. I havn't had much luck with regular pictures, yes I do miss the shots on regular camera's. Good luck, keep trying.

Yes, I taped the fireworks when I was there in April/May this year. It came out beautiful! I didn't set my camcorder on anything special, just taped. I did zoom in on Tinkerbell, it was awsome to watch again. I wasn't really steady, so be careful to be steady. Do it - you will always have it!

You would need a night exposure setting or manual settings. Otherwise the fireworks (or christmas lights) may be washed out white instead of natural colors.

I've never used night exposure and the video seemed fine, but after reading your post I'll bet the colors would be so much better if you used the night exposure setting. I did this with the night time parade as well and it seemed pretty good. Hmmmm! Good information to know! :thumbsup2
