Hey guys I took a video today with my Canon 70D. I actually LOVED the ride, however I felt the previous version had more action. However I love the fact that each ride has there own unique ending (epoct's version end's in Epcot)

Thanks for the preview! I'm so excited to see this on our trip in August!! Soarin has always been one of my favorites and I'm glad to see the new one is amazing. I was a bit worried when I heard they were changing it. I think it's great that the endings are unique to the park it's shown in, too!

Is there any scents in the new ride? I'm not watching the video as I will be there soon and want the surprise but I really want to know if there are scents!!!

Yes there is definitely scents in the new ride, won't reveal anything about it though :goodvibes.

We left for home yesterday afternoon and since DCA had EMH, we went over there just to ride the new Soarin before heading to the airport, and the ride was amazing!!! I will always miss the old version (it is one of my favorite rides), but the new ride is breathtaking.

At some point, there was only one theater running, so for our fastpasses at 7:15 pm the line took about 45 minutes. The standby jumped to 120 minutes. This was last night.

Thanks for posting this. I must say:duck:I'm quite disappointed. The old was was so much more realistic, this new computer animated version is so fake and switches scenes too fast. No way I'm waiting in line for this one :sad1:

@YellowMickeyPonchos and I saw it this morning also. It looks like @homerofwar saw it from the center section. Some of the tall "landmarks" were bent over from our vantage points, and so I was disappointed in that. There were scents, and we enjoyed them, and the scenery was spectacular. However, I was distracted by the cgi. It seemed more prominent to me than the original, and so I was disappointed in that.

I went there first off, and the queue was already 30 minutes, and quickly grew. However, with fastpasses you can cut down the time. I'll see it again, and seeing it on the big screen is so immersive, so I don't blame some of you for not watching the video first. ;)

Thanks for posting the video. I have to admit that I loved the original Soarin' and I'm not really excited about the change.

It's my understanding that there are a few fake (CGI) moments to enhance the film. I won't say what they are as to not spoil but after watching the video on youtube I have to say the CGI and the transitions are horrible. It's tough to digest why they would do this? I did like the ending for Epcot's version though as they all are different to each resort.

im not sure if I should watch the video :scared:. I want to wait until i'm there in the full experience to see it but if it stinks and i waited for it then it will be a big let down. its like when everyone tells you that you just have to see a movie because its so great and then when you do it cant live up to the anticipation you have built up for it in your head.

to wait or not to wait :confused3

I personally thought it was amazing and don't feel the CGI took away from anything , I actually preferred the transitions this way. I was truly impressed and loved every moment. Like anything it's definitely subjective for sure. To my knowledge and per the announcement however they still state no video photography or photos however.

I felt the same way but I figured by the time I actually get there and watch the real thing I'll have pretty much forgotten the video. I liked having a little preview!

I was a bit dissapointed too but I hold out hope that seeing it in person will make the difference.

I clicked on this but decided against watching the video. I know I have to wait 5 months before I see it, but I want it to be the new experience. I'll watch the video once I'm back and wanting to see it again. ....But it's going to be a long 5 months to resist temptation.

I like being surprised when I go on an attraction, so tend to stay away from videos. I was glad to see the movie i

I'm glad to read your perspective. I'm hoping more will feel the way you do. I need to go back and experience it myself, hopefully from the center section.

I'm actually very glad that I watched the video. While I was disappointed (we watched the original one right after and definitely prefer that one), now I will be prepared when I go see it in the park. Hopefully it will be better than expected, but at least now I'm not going in with high expectations. ;)
