Did they show this on your news over there? It was awful. Saw on the news this morning that the mom turned herself in and that child protective services has taken custody of the little girl. Lady needs a chill pill.

CNN had footage this morning of the fox hunters (ops, I mean country folk) marching in London. Looks like a good party. ;)

Yes we saw it this morning. I agree with you it was awful

No i missed it and I am quite glad I did.I work with children for 71/2 hours a day thats after I have got up organised and sent my 3 to school and then I come home to my 3 again at night.I am on my own all week and yes I get tired and angry with my children but I NEVER would physically attack them as this woman apparently did.I know children can drive you mad and wind you up but behaviour like this is totally and utterly unacceptable.
Sorry just had to get my pennys worth!

 Apparently this morning, Ms Toogood (  :o ) is quoted as saying "I was having a bad day, but now feel very bad about what I did" - "her daughter is not harmed", says the lawyer . . . (how can these lawyers sleep at night:( ).

Well I think she should be put into a car where she can't escape with two or three burly strong men and get beaten like she did to her own child, and see how frightened and traumatized she is after it, maybe then she will see from a childs eyes how awful it is to be bullied and hurt by your own parent.

Honestly these people make me sick, I've lost a child through no fault of my own, and okay I have 2 DS but I would give anything to have my other beautiful son Thomas with me as well, she should thank her lucky stars that she even has a child.

I saw her intereviewed too. She's got that Jerry Springer look about her.

Bouncy

Why don't you just help yourself and never touch another cigarette again.

I lost my youngest brother from cancer due to smoking-I watched him screaming in agony, begging for a morphine shot to help ease the pain-NOT a pretty sight and I never want to see anyone suffer like he did again in my lifetime.

I was a smoker since I was 15-I packed 2 years ago due to the shock of seeing our kid die due to the cigarettes.

I'm now 41 and in those 2 years,my health has improved-I no longer have smelly clothes and breath like a sewer.

I can run without having to pause for a breath, and my coughing has ceased.

Pack them in Bouncy-before they do untold damage-In my eyes they should be banned outright-But I can't see that happening-Think of all the revenue this government would stand to lose:rolleyes:

Sorry to sound angry, but that's my feelings on those filthy cancer sticks.

Chuck:mad:

Sorry, not quite sure I'm following the thread here. Have I missed something about cigarettes?

Regards

I was thinking exactly the same thing Rob

Rob, I think Chuck was referring to Bouncy's signature rather than the thread, per se. Bouncy's signature invites people to 'help me quit smoking.' I would say that is a pretty heartfelt contribution, albeit off topic in this instance. What do you say, Bouncy?

Sincerest apologies if I caused any confussion-I saw Bouncys signature asking for help to quit smoking, and thought I would reply.

Funny, but I had every intention in replying to the original thread about the woman beating her child.

Apologies for disrupting the thread:o

Chuck

Ah, that makes sense. I've turned signatures off, so didn't see the request to help quit, and therefore couldn't understand Chuck's contribution. All is now clear!

If it's not too late, I would like to echo Chuck's sentiments. Giving up is the sensible thing to do...

Regards

Rob
