Video Camera recomendations?

Hello everyone,

My daughter-in-law just requested a video camera for Christmas, and I am wondering if anyone has a recommedation as to what brand or type you prefer? She will be mostly making videos of the kids as they grow up, so something that can take at least 30 min. (decent quality) videos would be ideal.
I was even thinking of an iTouch or a flip, but I'm not sure of the video quality?

i am looking at so many options now that I am starting to confuse myself. If anyone has any recomendations at all,I'd love to hear them.

The HD Flip video ultra is great! It records up to 2 hours video and you can create still shots from the videos. We used ours on our trip to Disney last year and it was so much easier to record for a few seconds then trying to get a good shot with the regular camera. The playback quality is very good as well...I was able to playback on my 42" TV without a problem.

I was also able to get a wide angle lense on amazon...it is not much wider but enough that I was able to fit the whole cheerleading competition mat in the frame without cutting off the sides of it.
