Video camcorder

It is forbidden to use a camera flash in indoor attractions, and is advised against during events such as nighttime parades and fireworks.


Does this mean if my video camcorder/camera has an opinion where you can turn the flash off will be able to film or take and photo at indoor attractions e.g. Stitch Live.

Some places you will be allowed, but for shows like Animagique etc, its strictly forbidden and you will have a light shone on you and you get told off.....as for Stitch, I think its forbidden too and I've never seen anyone take a photo. Playhouse Disney you can with t thege flash off and you can video too.
Rides like Phantom Manor, Pirates etc, do not permit flash, but you CAN still take non flash photos.

I find it really funny watching people using a flash on a camera in most places in Disney. Firstly, that little flash on the top of the camera is only in any way effective up to about 5 feet, after that forget about it. makes me laugh to see people using it in the Wild West show. Same with Playhouse Live, makes no difference at all in the room that size.

Im not trying to be all camera snob about it, but I am amazed at the quality of Camera i see at Disneyland. Canon 70ds 5dMk ii and iii Nikon d7000 and great cameras that cost from 800 euros and up. And all set to Automatic with the small flash on the top popping up! if you spend 150 euro on a good point and shoot compact you would get as good a photo as on automatic on these high end cameras. At a fraction of the price. to me buying an expensive camera to shoot on automatic is silly
