I'm thinking of surprising my wife during our anniversary trip in Sept....she's mentioned it in the past and I thought this would be a good time to do it...has anyone eaten at the Chef's Table before?...any comments would be appreciated.

Well, I haven't done it, but my friends have, and they loved it. That being said, if your trip is in Sept 2007, I don't know if you'll be able to get it anymore. I know I called about a month ago and tried to book for the week of 9/22-9/30 and was shot down. However, don't ignore the exquisite nature of any Victoria & Albert's experience. My husband and I made a pact after our first dinner there to never travel to Disney again unless we could afford a V&A's dinner. You should still be able to get a seating in the normal dining room and I say go for it! It's a meal you will not forget anytime soon.

Crap, you are correct...I just called and they are booked for the time we are there...however, I did take your advice and make an ADR in the dining room...thanks for your input:thumbsup2

Steve-

If you have an AP/DDE card, you can get 20% off of your meal (excluding tax & tip).

The last time we went, the dining room was $115.00 per person, not including wine/cocktails. DDE would save you $23 per person. I should say that alcohol is discountable on the DDE card too.

If you don't- it's still an amazing experience!

Enjoy.......

I have been at CT three times. Although not mine, here is one of the best (and funniest) reviews ever of V&A CT.

We have an ADR for the Chef's Table during our upcoming July disneymoon. My understanding from when I made the reservation is that you cannot use the DDE card at the chef's table. You can use it in the other/main area of V&A. I'm sure someone will verify this.

Either way, I've been to V&A on 2 other occasions - this will be our 1st Chef's Table experience - and it was absolutely wonderful.

I'm sorry-

I was quoting the cost of the Dining Room.

Chef's Table is $150 and DDE is not applicable.

Enjoy!

Yes, you must call 180 days out and be the first caller at 7am.

How do I know you ask!

My DH and I have an ADR for September 24th!

We will be there 9/23-9/30 missed the Free Dining by one day because we booked in Feb.

We are staying BWI Conceirge level and I had all my ADRs and other tickets made when free dining was official announced and did not want to change resort because BWI was not available on 9/22.

I will write a review! ;)

We have done the Chef's Table and to us, the experience, really wasn't a big deal.
If you are looking for romantic the regular dining room is better because it is busy in the area of the chefs table

The reason we didn't find it a big deal is that my husband is a chef and really wasn't anything special for us. I didn't think it would be but he wanted to try it. Next time we go back it will definitely be in the regular dining room

So, you're the one:sad2: ...:lmao:

We ate at the Chef's Table this past Sunday. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. The cost is now $180 per person, and the wine pairing is $75 per person.
