Victorias Secret Codes:I got 7 Items for ~$40!!!

I don't know why everyone is bowing down to them and returning the stuff or accepting the fact that they won't get their order. A dispute to your CC company should resolve the problem. You paid for the pjs as indicated on your confirmation with a price next them and you did not receive them.

ITA!! This is bizarre!! Some of us are getting refunds, some of us are expected to return free stuff?!?!? Somethings not right here...........

I am sorry that some of you are having such confusion! The deal was a good one, I am surprised they let it go on for so long if it wasn't what they planned on. I mean, a day or so - maybe two. But for a couple of weeks or so? Why not fix it as they notice thousands upon thousands of people signing up for so many free gifts? It seems odd to me.

I tried to get a price adjustment but didn't want to call (I didn't want any of my co-workers to catch wind of the possiblity & then blame me for not getting one..if you remember the issue I had  )...

So I emailed them instead.. a really simple question "Do they price adjust for items that have since gone on sale?" (didn't provide order #'s or anything) - here's the response I got - notice the wording that was used (I bolded it):

"Thank you for your e-mail regarding our sale prices. We are happy to assist with your inquiry.

We follow two basic criteria when determining qualification of a sale price. If the sale price is requested within three weeks of your merchandise being sent and as long as the sale price does not jeopardize a Special Offer you received on your original order, you will receive the sale price.

Since your order qualified for multiple special offers that were given based upon the original pricing of this item, we regret that we are unable to honor the sale price adjustment that you are requesting.

If you need further assistance, please reply to this e-mail or call anytime.

Christine, thank you for contacting Victoria's Secret. We hope you enjoy our products and look forward to serving you in the future."

Oh, well it was worth a try!

I didn't dare go back for a price adjustment. The deal was already great. I got all I ordered in great time at a great price.

What I don't get is why are they allowing price adjustments for some and then the poor poster who didn't even get the PJs is being treated like a criminal:confused3

I got a price adjustment of $6.
Now I feel a bit guilty!

I don't think I've ever asked for a price adjustment on anything in my life - and I got such a great deal on the VS stuff, I'd definitely not ask! That is weird that they are treating it differently for many. It'd be nice if they had a uniform way of doing things.

I finally received an order today. They sent the shirt I ordered, the free cami, lotions and the other free set. No pajamas and no slippers. I'm a little upset because I wanted the pajamas, but at least I wasn't charged for them, just $19 for the shirt. The invoice said "discontinued" next to them. It irritates me that when I emailed them about the order it said I would have them by 12/22 with no mention of not getting the pajamas and slippers and the rest of the order didn't even come until today  . They at least could have sent out a mass email or something telling people who ordered that they screwed up and cancelled orders or something.

I ordered these for my FIL using his credit card. For me to dispute anything with the credit card company would be pointless. Asking my FIL to do it is out of the question. I will simple return everything, get their money back and never order again.

It took awhile entering codes because some it would not accept when I ordered. The fact it took some codes and not others made me think the codes were valid. I refuse to buy 39.99 flannel pjs. Even with one freebie like the matching slippers (that are now 8.99!!) It is still more then he wanted to spend.

I don't think I will ask for an adjustment either. I mean I know that winter stuff will go on clearance after Christmas so I could have ordered after Christmas. I ordered to mainly get the free stuff which really came in handy. The pjs are so comfortable!! I would never expect an adjustment unless the price had changed only a day or so after I ordered.

I agree that the PJ's are really comfy!!! I wear them as often as I can get them clean with various loads of laundry. :)

I tried to get a price adjustment on the tank top pj set....but the pattern I got is apparently not on sale. So I was not allowed to have the price adjustment. Oh well. Still a good deal....since I got the paper catalog yesterday and all the items I got for free were in there and were prices from $8.99-$19.00 per item!

Well I just wanted to thank the OP for the codes, got 2 sets with the 2 slippers each and all the freebies and they shipped everything but 1 pair of slippers which is backordered, and i also called yesterday to get the price adjustment and a very nice lady did it, got like $15.00 back to my vs credit card!
so thanks for the tip!

When I received my package, I was missing a pair of slippers. I received the pajamas, cami, one pair of slippers, and the freebies. There was a letter in the box stating they were being shipped seperately. I called today since I still haven't received them. The lady said that they had been discontinued, but there was still a possibility that the warehouse would ship them to me. She offered to send me a $15 gift card for not receiving the slippers. I told her they were free as part of a promotional code. She said it didn't matter, she would still send me the gift card for my trouble of not receiving the slippers. Ok, not going to argue with that! I received excellent customer service. I'm sorry others are having problems.

Just wanted to say again thanks a bunch to the OP. These pj/slipper/perfume/lotion Christmas presents went over big at my house. My two DDs and DIL loved all of it. The lotions/perfumes were so elegant, I was thrilled with every pretty package.

I am still trying to decide if I want to attempt the price adjustment. It is more like a challenge to me to see if I can get it like so many did. I feel terrible for the folks who were told to give back the free stuff and/or those who are not getting the PJs because VS was instead charging them for the freebies instead. Not good business at all.

They are shooting themselves in the foot. On one hand, you have me, who probably wouldn't have shopped at VS for Christmas and who probably would not pay $39 for a pair of flannel pjs. But the deal was so much fun to order and receive, I will most definetly look to VS for future purchases I would not have ordinarily made.

On the other hand, you have the customers who were made to feel terrible for getting freebies in the first place and who are not even getting what they originally paid for, who are being told to send freebies back, or order more stuff to warrant the freebies. Those people most likely left this whole thing with a very bad feeling toward VS and many will not be coming back.

The pjs were so expensive anyway, in the grand scheme of things, was it really worth their while for VS to make some customers feel bad and lose their business for good?

Glad I got the deal. Just wish everyone had as much fun as the rest of us with it. :sad2:

I agree with Tinkerbellmagic - I love the pjs (never bought any from VS before) - so soft, and they wash so nicely (I bought the 3 piece (bolero-cami-pants) set , and then later, after thinking I should have gotten two, I ordered a second pair the next day. So, I got two pairs of pjs, free stuff (two camis, two lotion sets, two perfume sets, two pair of slippers), half of which I gave to my daughter as stocking presents. I feel like I got my money's worth and then some! I had a ball ordering the stuff and opening it when it arrived. And I laughed when one cami shown as backordered arrived before the rest of the order it was from. AND I learned that I'd like to shop more at VS (selectively and when what I want is on sale) if the pjs are representative of the quality of the rest of what they sell.

I'm all for saving money when I can but I'm not going to ask for a price adjustment on top of everything I received - there's a point at which these companies we look to for deals will get tired of people wanting more, more, more, and quit giving much of anything as bonuses. (Same thing with free samples - anyone notice that more and more, companies are saying "first 500" or thousand, or whatever # to respond will get the sample and that's it?) It's because too many people take advantage - do a search on e-bay and see how many of these "free with purchase" deal items are resold by people. I've heard, too, that people also return them to stores (as if they'd purchased them) for refunds. That, and people buying up Black Friday deals to sell on E-bay, really aggravates the devil out of me!

I feel this way too. I got pjs, cami, 2 slippers, lotions and perfume all shipped under $40, I consider that a GREAT deal. Now the pjs are $6 less than I paid. I'm not calling them for the $6 because I feel I've gotten a great deal already and to ask for it to be discounted further would be greedy on my part.

On the flip side, I would never have paid $40 for just the pjs, ever. But when you add in all the other stuff it was really a bargain and I'm leary to call and mess it up.

Here's a story for you though: My girlfriend(who I told about the deal) placed to separate orders under two separate email addresses. She could not get the cami or lotion codes to work:confused3 and they were definitely still valid at the time. Well she went ahead and ordered anyway, basically just pjs, slippers, and perfume. One order arrived by Christmas, the other one didn't. She called to check on the other one and while talking to the rep said "by the way, I had these other codes and they didn't work for the lotion and cami" The rep did the following 1)refunded her shipping charge($8.95) since the order didn't arrive by christmas 2)is sending her the cami and lotions, 3)is sending her a $20 gift card for her trouble. How about that???

Same thing happened to me except she gave me a $25.00 gift certificate in the mail. Not too bad!!!

I agree, to call and ask for the adjustment just seems so greedy. I am perfectly happy with what I got and the amount I paid. I feel the deal was truly a bargain and won't be calling to see if I can suck more out of VS. JMHO.

Similar thing happened to my mom! She ordered me a pair of PJs and slippers, NO CODES. She didn't know! But she also got a perfume set FREE. They were GUARANTEED to be delivered by Christmas. She spent $65 for everything. Well, in tracking UPS, they were not set to be delivered until 12/26! She called and not only did they credit her shipping fee, they sent her another whole shipment of a different print PJs and matching slippers and also the perfume TOTALLY FREE! And she even overnighted them. So I got two AWESOME PJs and matching slippers to open on Christmas Day! (and two boxes of the perfume sets, too).

FYI--I got a refund check today in the mail from Victoria's Secret, for almost $22. I bought my goodies with a VS gift card, so those of you who called about the price adjustment and paid with a gift card, you might be getting a check in the mail instead of credit back on your gift card.

Can't hurt to check if you paid with a credit card to make sure they credited you, instead of issuing a check.
