I would love information and pics on this please! I may be celebrating my 40the birthday at WDW, and have heard this is the "only" restaurant for adults only. How much money is it??? I s it worth it? Would you do it again?

We eat here every trip. Food is excellent. I am not sure on the price but I'm thinking that the basic plan is $150 per person plus there are additional upgrades that cost more (examples would be caviar, kobe beef) plus wine pairing is $50-$75 per person. Dinner will take a few hours. There are 7 courses, amuse bouche, cold app, hot app, fish, meat, intermezzo and dessert. Most courses have 2-3 selections from which you will choose.

Sorry, I have no pics from here. DH would kill me if I ruined his romantic meals here by pulling out the food camera.

We just ate here last week and it was fantastic and worth evry penny. It was $125 pp or $185 pp with wine pairings. We did just the regular $125 pp and bought a bottle of wine off the list. It was a wonderful wine list with wines ranging from $36- $1,500 per bottle. They were very helpful picking out the wine in a price range you specify. The food was amazing. You start out with a small amuse bouche of tiny appetizers, then a cold app, a hot app, a fish dish, your main course, a cheese course and a dessert all presented beautifully with amazing service. Here are a few pics:

We had a great dinner last year for our 25th wedding anniversary I think we spent around $400.00 with tip and no wine, we did do the more expensive beef. This is a special occasion dinner and we would not do it every trip. Have a great meal.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary here. Hubby got the wine pairings and loved them all. I love how it's tucked away in the GF.

The meal, dessert and coffee were excellent.

Here is a review of the Chef's Table from a couple of years ago. It may be a bit extreme, just realize that the CT meal is basically a sampling of everything on the menu for that evening.

When I went last month the menu (with extra price item indicated) was

1 - Amuse Bouche

2 - Tamarind-Ancho Marinated Gulf Shrimp with Heirloom Tomato Vinaigarette
Jumbo Lump and Dungeness Crab with California Asparagus Salad
Iranian Golden Osetra Caviar with Traditional Garnish ($150 ½ oz, $300 1 oz)

3 - Truffle Cured Poussin with Spring Morels and English Peas
Poached South Carolina Quail with Black Mission Figs and Fuji Apples
Pan Roasted Foie Gras with Georgia Peach Tart and Mostarda di Cremona ($20)

4 - Virginia Black Bass Amandine with Bean Ragout and Marcona Almonds
Alaskan Red King Salmon with Torpedo Onions and Demi-Tasse Cup of Smoked Salmon
Seared Wild Turbot with Toasted Capers and Meyer Lemon ($30)

5 - Niman Ranch Lamb with Artichokes and Zellwood Corn
Kurobuta Pork Tenderloin and Belly with Banana Squash Ragout
Marcho Farms Veal Tenderloin with Braised Veal Cheeks and Burgundy Poached Sweet Breads
Australian "Kobe" Beef Tenderloin with Smoked Garlic Puree ($35)
Japanese Wagyu Strip Loin with Oxtail Jus ($80)

6 - Colson Bassett Stilton, Tarentaise and Nettle Meadow Kunik
White Chocolate Gelato with Micro Mint

7 - Tanzanian Chocolate Pyramid, Hawaiian Kona Chocolate Souffle and Peruvian Chocolate Ice Cream & Pastry
Berry Gateau with Mango Yogurt Panna Cotta
Caramelized Banana Gateau
Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee
Grand Marnier Souffle
Hawaiian Kona Chocolate Souffle

8 - "Celebes" Coffee, Tea and Friandise

Others have given you the prices and some info, but I wanted to add that I wouldn't do it again. I'm glad I did it once (DH really wanted to try it), but frankly, neither of us are really "gourmet" people. My diet is pretty basic and does not include things like "Oysters Rockefeller," which is what you're likely to come across at V&A. I do think it's an experience worth doing once, but for the cost and the menu, you either have a taste for that sort of thing or you don't and if you don't, you can make this a once-in-a-lifetime experience with no regrets. :)

We do it every trip...wouldn't miss it...love it, love it, love it. Must love food!!!

Actually, you're not likely to come across something as mundane as oysters rockefeller at V & A's. V & A is a wonderful restaurant with "foodie" food, unique flavor combinations that you might not get to try at other restaurants, even very nice restaurants. You are in the hands of a master chef... but you pay for the privelege.

Is it worth it? We think so, but we like creative dishes with unusual twists. We try to go every trip to WDW as long as we have a sitter for our son. On the other hand, my mother won't go. She likes Jiko and Cali Grill (both of which are wonderful), but she thinks spending that much for food is somewhere between silly and wasted on her. She likes good food, but she isn't a foodie by any stretch of the imagination. It just isn't worth it to her.

The menu really does change fairly often, so you won't have much luck knowing your menu before you go. Someone from V & A will actually call you in advance to make sure you don't have food restrictions or allergies. Everything feels very personalized. You will get a menu printed with your names on it, and a rose to take home. (At least, I assume they still do this... they have done it every time we've been.)

There are several places at WDW to get very good food for a lot less money. I think V & A has the best food in WDW, and some of the best food I've ever had. (I'm a food critic's daughter, so I've eaten in a lot of good restaurants over the years.) DH and I think it is worth it and are going again in January. My mom and her SO are babysitting for us that night because they simply don't think it is right for them.

Hope some of this helps at least a little...

The meal at V & As was the 2nd best meal of my life. I think $125 is a bargain for the amount of food, the service, presentation and quality. I eat plenty of meals out that come to $150 for 2 that are really basic, so-so service, average food. We will go every time we go down to WDW. I will add that we also bought the DDE card and received 20% off which made it a lot easier to swallow. Our check was $305 total with tip and we had a bottle of wine with our meal.

We've been going on a regular basis ever since they opened in 1988 and we're going for our 33'rd dinner at V&A in September.
That's how much we like it!!
When you go, be certain to get the wine pairings.

Hey, Uncleromulus! I agree, V&A is not to be missed! On a side note: I'm happy to see that you are finally going to WDW during F&W Fest! :yay: I hope you have a great time! :goodvibes

We went for our 10th anniversary and would do it again in a heartbeat! DH wasn't so sure about it, and even said it was something that he was glad to do once.

We weren't finished with dinner when he wanted to do the Chef's Table "next time we come"

We don't have the financial means to do it every trip, but we are making a point of saving all of our extra dollars so that we can do it every few trips. :goodvibes

(So far we have $140 for my dinner and $14 saved for him. We joked the other night they may let him walk me to the door for his $14 :rotfl: )

Have been twice, would totally go again but agree that you do have to be more of a "gourmet food and wine" type person to really love it. Search through the reviews: I have a review of the Chef's Table from our trip last year, and I know there are others. Enjoy.

We have a reservation for our first evening, but we've decided we want to add the wine pairing. Can we do that when we get there or should I call?

Thanks!

You can add the wire pairing when you arrive, they are very flexable. Be prepaired. If you are doing the Chef's Table and order the wine pairing, it is a lot of wine ( I had to stop halfway thorugh the courses).

You add the wine pairing when you order dinner at the restaurant. There's nothing for you to do right now but wait and look forward to a great meal!
