We're a long way off till we go but I've been reading menus to use on our DxDP, Citricos, Yachtsman and Cali Grill are on the list so far.

Looking at the V&A Menu, the first two courses are currently all fish choices, which my Wife isn't a fan of at all.

Is there any other options they can provide (maybe some kinds of other salads etc), I'm assuming they would have options for people who are vegan or allergic?

We really want the experience, but at the same time, don't want to waste money turning down courses either.

Any tips appreciated :)

When I was there I was presented with the regular menu as well as the vegetarian menu. I could select from either one.

When you make your reservation for V & A tell them about any allergies or dislikes. Remind them when you confirm the booking in the days leading up to your chosen date. There is a myriad of dishes that could end up on the menu. Extra information from the diners helps to shape that night's menu for you. I guarantee that this is an unforgettable haute cuisine experience.

Victoria and Albert's will call you around a week before your meal and ask you about allergies, and likes and dislikes. While this is more important if you're eating in the Queen Victoria room of the Chef's Table (I did the latter while hating lamb- they turned one lamb course in to a seafood one, and gave me steak for the other) and there are no choices, they will almost certainly find something else she can eat. It will probably be a vegetarian item from the vegetarian menu.

At the moment, the third course looks to be the only pure fish course on the menu (you can get bison for the second course). On the sample vegetarian menu, she would be able to get 'Mustard Spaetzle with Braised Belgian Endive' instead (that actually sounds pretty interesting and unusual, there). Second course option would be an heirloom tomato dish done three ways. Having said that, those sample menu's haven't been updated in I don't know how long, so it could be anything.

While I was in the Queen Victoria room, there were two couples also eating. One had a young lady who was allergic to all shellfish, and the other couple both were vegetarian. They got the full ten or whatever courses there, most of it looking quite tasty. She won't go hungry. :)

I second Mikka, when they call before the reservation just let them know she doesn't like fish and they should be able to give her something else great easily! I'm gluten intolerant and they were able to adapt & swap at every course so I could still have a great meal (they even made me 3 different gluten free breads to go along with it!). I also told them my husband hates mushrooms and he got a mushroom-free menu so really, they'll go above and beyond to make a meal you'll love :)
