I don't really have much to say about this other than YUM! It was pricey ($415) after tax/tip. I have never eaten so well. I don't think I ever will again unless I go back to V&A. My Favorite was the Japanese Steak and the Butternut Squash Cream. I was not expecting to like it since I don't typically like squash. I didn't enjoy the Cheeses. I'm not a big fan of "different" cheeses. They were far too aromatic for my tastes. ;)

Being in the Kitchen was a treat for sure. The service was fantastic. I don't really have any complaints what so ever. We were made to feel at home the moment we walked through the door.
I've attached pictures. I'm sorry if they are too large.
Here are the courses
1) Amouse Bouche Tuscan Melon Soup, Carmellini Bean Soup, Roasted Butternut Squash Cream.

2) Seared Colorado Buffalo Tenderloin, Braised Fennel, Radishes and Blood Orange vinaigrette

One of the things I really liked was that the chef didn't serve us any seafood. I told him we weren't fond of seafood but we would be willing to experiment with crab, lobster, oysters, or clams.
The head chef wasn't there the night we had our reservation, but everything was still top notch.
I was dressed to the nines. Wearing suit and french cuff shirt. We arrived in Orlando the same day as our reservation at V&A. We didn't get into our room until 3pm. We had to quick get ready and hop on the bus to the MK to get to the GF from the BWV. It was about 5pm and HOT. Once we got into the restaurant, I forgot all about the heat. It was pure heaven. I wish I could afford to go back to V&A every time I go to WDW....:goodvibes

I was going to ask what you wore. ;) Was it just two of you?

I was going to ask what you wore. ;) Was it just two of you? It just sounds wonderful!

I liked that they allowed me to take off my Jacket at the Chefs Table. I was much more comfortable that way.
Yes. it was just me and the wife. It was a celebration for our 5 year anniversary. Our daughter was dropped off at the child care center at the GF. We felt a little guilty about that since she was the only child there for most of the time, but she did well and had fun I think.

The dishes don't look like they are a lot of food, but they do add up after a while. We were stuffed silly when we left.
I said it before and I'll say it again. It was by far the best meal I have ever had.

Thanks for your review!!

My Dh and I go to the Chef's Table in a little less than a month now, and your review reminded me to call & request....

NO PEACHES!!:scared1:

I cannot eat, smell, or see them... they make me ill!!

I wasn't worried about it b/c peach season is basically over... but now I will call and let them know of my aversion to it!!!

Great reveiw!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Did you do the wine pairings? why or why not?

What did your wife wear? Can we see a picture??????

Thanks so much for the review and pics. We eat at V&A almost every trip but have never done chef's table because of my fear of crustaceans (even if they didn't serve us lobster, I couldn't handle seeing one back there!!!). After reading your review, maybe I could request ahead of time to have those ugly little critters sleep somewhere else for the night!!!!

Don't you love the way they make the coffee????

$415 for just the two of you? Is it more expensive eating in the kitchen?

We are going there in October, what are some of the menu prices?

MJ

The coffee was great. It was very interesting. I'm sure if you told them your adversion to crustaceans, they'd not serve them to you.

the Chef's table is 10 courses. I believe in the regular dining room it's 6. I could be wrong though because I haven't had the opportunity to eat in the dining room.

For the Chefs table it was $165 per person. Plus tax and tip. I think in the regular dining room it's $120 per person. Then you pay $70 more for the wine pairings if you want them. My wife and I don't drink wine (I prefer beer).

Thanks for the review and the pictures. I don't blame you for starting on the desserts before taking a picture... The "remains" look pretty darn good to me, so the full amount would have had me jumping for my cutlery!!

excellent review, those desserts look soooooooooo fabulous! :cloud9:

oh, what lovely photos! - since we'll never eat there (DH is WAYYY too picky) i'll just dream about it - thanks for the review!

I'll tell you what. I consider myself a fairly picky eater too. I don't eat much vegetables at all. I'm not one to eat seafood ever. However, if you husband likes game and beef, he'd probably enjoy what was served.
I thought I would not like the Butternut Squash Cream soup, but it is the best soup I have ever had. :goodvibes

This makes the waiting even worse!!! Going to Chef's Table 11/27 for our 3rd anniversary!! CAN'T WAIT CAN'T WAIT!!!! :yay: :dance3:

Just wait until you try the Kobe. It's been almost a month since I had it and I still think about it everyday. It was that good.
Saturday I had what I would normally consider a very good piece of Prime Rib from a nice restaurant in Baltimore. It was like eating Salisbury Steak compared to the Kobe.
