For men, is it jacket, or jacket and tie? I've heard both, so does it change based on season (We're eating there 2nd week of December)? Do men usually wear suits or can you do jeans or khaki's and a blazer like this:

or this:

http://www.bananarepublic.com/browse/product.do?cid=14845&pid=512525&vid=1

I typically dress like the above for work/going out at night, and I'm hoping not to have to drag out a suit while on vacation.

Coat is required, but not the tie.

As for pants, I'm not sure on the jeans... I'd go with nice khakis.

I think you will feel underdressed in jeans. REALLY NICE khakis with a sport coat is fine. Most men I saw wore dress pants/jacket or a suit. Most also wore ties even though they are optional.

HAVE A GREAT TIME!! It is Awesome!! Can't wait for Chef's Table Nov. 27th...my 3rd Anniversary!!

khaki's and a blazer would be fine

Jean :scared1:
honestly i don’t care how nice a pair of jeans they are...they are still Jeans...

We've eaten there several times and have never seen anyone in jeans. My DH and grown DS's always wear coat and tie.

Thanks for the info. Khaki's and blazer it is. I find it funny that so many people think that khakis are acceptable, while jeans are a no-no. I always considered them both equally casual. I've done jeans (not some torn up jeans, a nice pair of dark True Religion or Lucky Brand, something of that nature) and a blazer many times to a few NY Times 3 and 4 star restaurants here in the city and have never received any guff. Who knew that Jean-Georges Vongrichten is OK with jeans in his dining room and Mickey Mouse isn't?!?! ;) Thanks again for the info, boys and girls! :thumbsup2

That may be so as far as "casual dress" goes.... But khakis are alot closer to slacks and jeans.... well.... they're jeans. Not much you can do there.... Even if they're nice jeans.... There's times where one's just gotta dress up once in awhile.... *

*this coming from the gal who totally HATES and LOATHES wearing dresses.... :scared1:
