Victoria & Albert's Chef's Table - How dressy?

I wore a cocktail dress and felt like it was appropriate given how the other people dining were dressed. DH wore a suit. A "date" dress, cocktail dress, or pant suit with nice shoes and jewelry, that's on the classy side, would be perfect. I think a red carpet look might be overdoing it compared to the others in the restaurant...but fun!

As Tinkbum stated above, a simple sheath with a classic necklace or stunning earrings is great (don't overdo the jewelry). Also, no waistband = comfort after all of those courses!

Haven't been to V&A, but just ate at Remy a few weeks ago. I wore a silk maxi-dress with sparkly, low heel sandals. Dressy, but very comfortable which is what I need to be able to sit and eat for 3 hours!
Ditto this at a very fancy expensive dinner in my hometown. Those long silky dresses can be a magnet for a good table too. I swear the host took one look at my dress and put us on center stage. It can't hurt. Dress up.
