So I think I have my ducks in a row for my upcoming trip in September and the only thing I am worried about is getting VA Chef's Table... (Not other ADRs, not free dining, not discounts, not FP+ reservations, not 7DMT opening)

Last time on our Honeymoon it was closed for remodeling so I didn't even have a chance to try and reserve it. So a question about this in September.

While its a slower part of the year what is the chances to even get this table? If I take advantage of the 180+10 should I be good as long as I call in right away in the morning?

Should I just not get my hopes up at all expect to be shut out on our 11 night - 11 day trip?

Is it weird of me to think to schedule another trip just so I have a 180+10 reservation chance the entire time we are there (Arrive late on the 3rd of September but schedule another trip starting in August) and just cancel the resort stay once I hopefully secure the reservation? I think that's a little too shady but had me thinking.

Anyone with their experience of getting this table in September would be great.

I called yesterday and spoke with a reservationist who is directly with V&A. She told me that if you want the Chef's Table, you will need to log into the WDW dining reservation system through your computer - not a tablet or phone - choose the Chef's Table on the first day of your 180 day availability. Do this as soon as the reservation system is up and going for the day. I believe its a couple of hours before V&A's reservationist is open. She told me that by the time their offices open at 9 a.m., most of the Chef Tables are all taken and they will be unable to help you. Hope this helps.

I know there have been a few threads on scoring hard to get ADR's online but I can't find any fight now. Maybe someone will come along & educate us again.
IIRC it had to do with logging on & being ready to go at the exact moment the reservations open in the morning. About all I remember for sure is that the line opens at 0600 EST.
Wishing you lots of luck!
