My wife and I watched the Food Network's hour-long show on weddings last night (though it was mostly on, as you would guess, food). It got us thinking about our next trip, and our eating choices.

First, for those of you who have done it, how was Victoria & Albert's Chef Table experience? As for the tacky part of my thread, how much was it?

yes, definilty, i did it few years ago... just too much food to taste, and they are too yummy ,espcially the coffee at the end

okay.....hijacking your thread....

is V&A or the Chef's table worth it if you dont/wont eat seafood or meats other than chicken, pork and beef?

The Chef's Table is hands down the best overall value in WDW. May sound weird to you now, but when you look back on all your WDW experiences (and what you paid to have those experiences), this will be the one with sooooo many memories. The Chef will prepare whatever you like, he interviews you then makes food you will enjoy. He will press into an adventuresome area as well, so be prepared :) And as loiusaho said, come ready to eat and eat and eat some more.

Blessings.

No, absolutely not, nuh-uh, an utter waste of your time and money ----- I'm KIDDING! - (But secretly hoping you believe me so I can book it on our next trip! - it's awfully tough to reserve, seeing as there is only one of them, with one seating per night--- and it can only be reserved 4 or 5 nights out of the week ((The chef, and only the chef can book the other nights (Probably dignitaries, VIPS, etc..). They have showcased the Chef's table in 2 TV shows now , and it's getting harder to book all the time!

It's an incredible dining experience. I've been lucky enough to dine there 4 times, and each has been worth every single dollar. As for cost - including tax and tip - it ran around $200 per person including the wine pairings.....

PoohBear - Yes, the Chef will customize your dishes for you -- He meets you as you are seated and asked what you like/dislike....Although I don't remember ever having chicken - I've had quail, duck, lamb, veal, boar, beef filet as well as Seafood. The quality of the food is so high, that you might actually LIKE the seafood....To this day, the only brussel sprouts and squash my DH will eat are the ones serves at Vic & Als .........;) You can always call them beforehand to check and make sure your dining preferences can be accomodated (WDW-Dine can connect you...) My husband is a vegetarian and will not eat anything that can be considered an animal. He does eat eggs and milk, but no meat, to include fish.

Has anyone ever done the Chef's table with a vegetarian menu? is it possible?

I know that this may be a shot in the dark, just trying ti see if anyone knows before I call Disney.

Thanks!
