Hi! Just checking out Via Napoli's menu again and noticed that the meatballs for the spaghetti are veal. I don't want to have veal, so does anyone know if I could order beef/sausage meatballs instead?

Thanks for your help! :goodvibes

No
They don't have beef/sausage meatballs prepared.
If the menu doesn't appeal to you, you should look somewhere else
Have a Great Trip

Do you realize veal is beef? Often meatballs are not made strictly from hamburger. If you can't eat veal meatballs, order something else.

OP, most restaurants can make changes to an ingredient if a person has an allergy or condition, but it has to be known way ahead of time. So the restaurant can prepare.
So chances are they will not be able to accomadate you unless there is another dish that they use beef meatballs in.

I understand your "wish" as I do not eat meatballs made of veal (and yes PP I know veal is beef) but it is my choice to eat a full grown cow, not a baby. ;)

OP, so it may be best if you have a back up dish ready to order or to find a restaurant that has more of what you like.

It is also reported Via Napoli is very strict on it's "dishes". A couple people have reported not being able to substitute toppings on a pizza.

Good luck, and enjoy your trip!!

Had spaghetti and meatballs twice our last trip at Via Napoli and loved it. Gotta say though, wasn't too impressed with the meatballs - they totally reminded me of when you go to the grocery store and buy a big bag of those little meatballs.

yes veal is beef if you generalize it....but look up sometime....if you like eating cows that have only been allowed to live for a few weeks (or months if they are lucky) and are restrained to prevent movement...oops i mean to prevent "bruising"...go right ahead

On a different note, we had the pizza and it was very good. Im not sure about them substituting meats as others have said they dont, but go and enjoy. We ordered other items off the menu, but all in our party agreed that pizza was tops.

Thank you for answering my question. I simply wanted to know if it was possible. I also am aware that veal is beef; I'm glad you understood what I meant by not eating veal. I'll be keeping my ADR, by the way, since the pizza looks fantastic
