Via Napoli

Hiya folks!

We will be visiting Via Napoli during our stay, and will be dining with the regular dining plan. Just wondering how this would work as part of the plan....typically we would go and order a few pizzas for the table to share, but I am guessing that with the plan each person would need to order an individual pizza as opposed to sharing? We also would like to have the salad that you can get to accompany the pizza....but I guess since there are no 'appetizers' included, that would be a no go? Can anyone who has eaten at VN while using the Dining Plan shed some light for me? We are well seasoned Disney Travelers, and have utilized the plan many times, so I understand the plan very well, I just don't really know how they allow you to use your credits at this one place specifically.

Via Napoli is unusually restrictive on the dining plan usage.

Only the individual specialty or plain pizzas are covered or the stand-alone entrees. You are not able to combine credits to order the large pizzas, nor is the salad available. They are also likewise restrictive on the included drinks.

I think you can get the salad as your appetizer if you are on the deluxe plan, but on the regular plan no salad included (you can get the salad if you pay for it off-plan), and they don't allow sharing. Each person on the DDP will be required to spend a credit. You can get different kinds of individual pizzas and share them around so long as everybody orders one. Each person will be able to order a dessert as well. Kids age 3-9 must order from the children's menu.

Thanks - was pretty much what I had figured. We can certainly order the salad out of pocket, and it is likely that some of our party might prefer something other than pizza, so I am sure it will all work out fine.
