Via Napoli

The Pizza is sooooooooo good. We went for lunch so we pd OOP but its a 1 tbs credit.

We ordered the 1/2 meter pizza. Family of 4 plus my mom. My mom also ate a large salad but had some pizza. We left a couple of slices. For a family of 7 depending on how much you eat you could get away with a 1/2 meter and some apps.

I have ADR here in early May. I was thinking going OOP on this one and saving the TS credit as well. To use TS credit on Pizza just seems silly

Anyone know if you can get the "house made seasonal fruit coolers" as a drink?

I also was debating if it was a good deal with the dining plan. We only have one OOP meal and I was hoping to go to DTD for it..

We are going to be eating here this September. I was decided on the spaghetti but after seeing that pizza. Yum, I think I might just go for pizza. I really think I will pay oop here :)

Best pizza I have ever had!

Thanks for the pictures...

I am so excited too eat here...........:woohoo::woohoo:

You are welcome.

Just a side note for anyone curious about what size pizza to get. The pizza is great but a really on the thinner side. We had 4 of us, my mom, step dad and my wife and myself with our 7 month old daughter and that pizza was all gone before you could blink lol. Now granted my wife is pregnant so she ate a bunch and then my step dad is a big eater and i can hold my own when starving so the large pizza wouldnt have been enough. The 1/2 meter just made it lol.

How is the Arancini? How many balls are in one order?
A bit late in the response (wasn't keeping track of this thread ><), but I found it to be very good. Of course, it was the first time I've eaten Arancini, so your mileage may vary, but I thought it was better than the ones I got a Citrico's later in the week. (Citricos was very good, just preferred the ones here).

It was 3 balls as seen here:

If you're referring to the Dining Plan, then no, these drinks don't count. You would have to pay OOP for one. But they are fabulous. I really like the lemon.

My mom and I have this planned as one of our meals in Oct. We are super excited, but I do have a couple questions that hopefully someone here can answer.

First, how "saucy" is the pizza? I know that sounds odd, but I have to limit the amount of tomato sauce I eat due to a medical condition. I know there is a white pizza, but mom wouldn't like that I think and we would rather share and leave room for dessert!

Second, what size would you say the individual and large pizzas are? We are thinking that the salad for 2 and one of the pizzas would make a wonderful lunch, but some of it would depend on the sizes. Most pizza places I have been do say 10", 12", ect... so would anyone be able to guess the sizes here?

I wouldn't say the pizza was overly saucy more average i guess. They way they make it seems more saucy because cheese doesn't cover the whole thing, Neapolitan style. Theres a video I saw on Disneys blog on how the head chef makes it with strips of the cheese instead of it shredded so its like globs of cheese spread out over it.

Have you ever had the personal pizzas at Carrabas or Olive Garden? The personal ones at Via Napoli are smaller than the ones at those 2 places. Maybe slightly bigger than the pizzas at Pizzafari in AK. My guess 8" the large s about the average ;arge size you would get at most places.

I am in the same position as you are, I can't eat too much red sauce. However, we have eaten there twice, and the sauce is perfect. It's not too spicy or acidic, nor do they overload the pizza with it! I get the pizza with tomato sauce, basil and mozzarella. It's delicious.

As for portions. A shared small pizza with salad would be perfect for lunch, with just a bit of room for dessert. I can't give you the dimensions, but the small is for one, however, I wouldn't be able to eat it all myself.

We are off to WDW in 11 days, and will be enjoying pizza at Via Napoli soon!

Thank you two for the information! I can usually handle a "normal" amount of sauce on a pizza, but some places seem to enjoy making a sauce pizza. I was just curious on how much Via Napoli used to know if I should risk it. I'm really glad you both said it seemed normal, though I'll being an extra pill just in case lol.

I can't eat a ton when I am at Disney. With the heat and being tired from all the walking, I don't have that big of an appetite. When we get there we will try and catch a look at the individual and the large pizzas and see what might work.

Once again, thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question!

I get heartburn from the sauce but I didn't care it was so worth it lol. Took a pepsid and I was good to go.

I'm the opposite when it comes to walking around and eating. I get pretty hungry after walking around all those hours and burning all those calories. I however usually hardly ever eat breakfast either so maybe that is a reason also.

The big pizza fed our family of 4 easily.

We really liked eating there - low stress, the pizza was very simple and good, and our server was very good. I think my wife would have left me for him if asked.

That good, huh? What was his name? I might need to go as well. I'm sure DH won't mind.:thumbsup2
