Via Napoli vs Tutto Italia

We enjoy both restaurants. We go to Via Napoli for their quattro formaggio pizza, we also like their calamari, and they also have good sangria and beer. I've had the chicken parm at Via Napoli, it was good, but it seemed overpriced at something like $28 for basically a breaded chicken filet and a small handful of potatoes.

At Tutto Italia I like their salad, Lasagna, calamari, and their cannoli. Tutto Italia seems a touch more formal in atmosphere, Via Napoli seems to be louder and more hustle and bustle going on. If on the DDP, I prefer to use the table service for Tutto Italia and pay out of pocket for Via Napoli.

Hope that helps.

I've been disappointed with Tutto Italia the last two times I've eaten there.. The only perk I had during my previous visit was sitting outside under an umbrella table and people watching. The food was just "meh" in my standards.. It tasted like anything I could have at a local chain back home (ie: Olive Garden). However, I can't vouch for Via Napoli, but it is booked as a lunch for my upcoming trip!

Tutto Italia is a formal table service restaurant that happens to serve Italian food. Via Napoli is more like an upscale American pizzeria.

Frankly, I liked Via Napoli more. It is unpretentious and the food pretty good (I'm Italian, so I'm critical). Tutto Italia reminded me of Olive Garden.

We've eaten at both within the past year. Thought they were both good, but not great. If you're looking for good Italian food, take a short walk over to Il Mulino at the Swan.

Another vote for Via Napoli! Haven't been to Tutto for yhears but remember not being very impressed and thinking it was pretty pricey for a bowl of pasta. Worked for years a few blocks from our city's "Little Italy" so know good Italian food and Tutto is just "average". Via Napoli is at least a lot more fun!

They always have walk up tables. Try it if you have time. The pizza is delicious!

Agree with PPs - Tutto is a touch more formal and a quieter atmosphere with traditional Italian style entrees. Via Napoli has a few entrees too, but is more akin to a pizzeria and is a louder, brighter atmosphere. More comfortable/casual at Via Napoli, IMO.

We have a lunch reservation for September. I can't wait to try their pizza! :) Which one is your favorite?

Yay!! I'm so happy you have a reservation. Please forgive me if I misunderstood.

If memory serves me correctly, I believe we have ordered the Piccante Pizza. The one time my group was there the chef/man in charge of the brick ovens came over to my table and hung with my party. Why? I don't know, besides him saying he was really tired and we looked like we were having fun. I enjoy the vibe of the place. We have always had great service and I think their pizza is really good. It's always a "must stop" for my party.

Great post question!! We have been to Via Napoli abd have ressie for Tutto this summer -so I can only speak to Via Napoli. I absolutely loved Via Napoli - and this is from an Italian New Yorker who knows her pizza & pasta. The antipasti was fantastic (we got the antipasti dish that serves 2) My kids loved, loved the thin crust pizza. I had an amazing pasta dish with fish. My husband had the chicken parm - which he did not like at all.

If you are in the mood for a pizza/salad type of meal, do Via Napoli. If you are looking for a bigger Italian meal (antipasti, pasta, entree), I would recommend Il Mulino or Trattoria al Forno over Tutto Italia, both are a short walk or boat ride from the EP IG entrance.

Purely personal opinion - skip both Napoli and Tutto Italia....

Instead, grab the boat at the International Gateway, and head for Il Mulino at the Swan :). We believe they have STUNNING Italian offerings - and we go there, twice per year, a good ten years.
Worth noting - Il Mulino currently accepts TIW. They do not accept DDP in any form.

Aw, that is awesome! I can only imagine how unbearably hot the person manning the brick oven must be during the summer months. Woo-eee I would be a melting mess :scared: Thank you for the suggestion! I will definitely check it out. Do you think the pizzas there are big enough to split between 2 adults for lunch?

BTW - I saw your ticker. Congrats on the completion of your Masters!! That is such an accomplishment :thumbsup2

Thank you! And yes, the pizza is more than big enough. It is the only place I have taken leftovers back to the room (and believe me, I travel with 3-4 adults who are eaters!). We did get an app and some cocktails. Needless to say, you should have a good amount of pizza left for 2 adults (you're going with the large, correct?).

Oh, and when in Disney in the summer, I feel like a hot mess. Thank heavens the pictures don't show it too much!!

Thank you for your wishes...now it's off to find a "better" job. lol. It never ends!

I've been to both and honestly love Via Napoli way more. Their pasta and pizza dishes are outstanding! I love the candele pasta, my fave by far. The quattro fromaggi is my fave pizza, its mouth watering delicious. The pepperoni is also wonderful.

Yes Via is louder and brighter than Tutto, but I really like the atmosphere. My fave restaurant for sure.

Never been to Via. I love the atmosphere of Tutto, but after going twice we aren't rushing to go back. I had some type of alfredo the first time, and lasagna this time, and wasn't too impressed with either. Not that it was bad by any means, just had better. Their desserts are great, and have good beer/cocktails. I've tried their spag and meatballs and it is very good. If I'd go back I'd just go with that. Like I said, I really like the atmosphere, but the food has just not been worth it to make a point to go back.

We did lunch at Via Napoli last year and it was solid.

My only (minor) complaint was that the crust on the pizza was not crisp. I was expecting something crisp on a thin crust pizza out of a wood fired brick oven, but it was floppy. I am definitely a pizza snob though so YMMV. I am assuming the mass market would balk at the slightest bit of char on their crust, so the pizzaioli err on the side of undercooking.

We are trying to decide between the two as well for our upcoming July trip. We currently have reservations for Tutto and considering switching. My question is in regards to the dining plan.. As a family of 5, if we order a pizza what happens to our meal credits? Does that mean we will have to use 5 credits? It seems like it would not be a good use of dining credits and should go to Via when paying out of pocket.
