quick review of Via Napoli. Ate there Friday night. Although it wasn't particularly crowded it was really loud inside (really) so we asked to sit outside. They accommodated and it was much quieter with great weather. We ordered calamari and the risotto balls for apps and both were very good. We all ordered pizza for dinner and all enjoyed, though the $3.50 per topping on the build your own pizza was a bit ridiculously expensive. The desserts were good. Although we ended up spending about $60 out of pocket for apps/drinks I thought this was one of the more enjoyable dinners - certainly NOT the best pizza I've ever had but the food and service were good and sitting on the patio shortly after sunset in nice weather was very enjoyable.

I was there on Friday too! I had lunch there friday, around noon. I ordered my usual candele pasta and once again, it was TO DIE FOR. Love that place a lot. I had the tiramisu for dessert and seriously, best tiramisu I ever had. So incredibly good. I love via. :cloud9:

My family really enjoys Via Napoli and have always found the food to be very good. My kids typically get the four cheese pizza - they love it and I've stolen many of their slices and it's VERY good. I typically get the fried calamari and veal parmesan which I think are excellent - the sauce for both is delicious. Really fun place that we usually hit twice during our WDW stay. BTW, unless I'm having pizza in New Haven, CT (at Sally's or Pepe's) NO pizza is going to the be best pizza I've ever had. :snooty: Still very good though.

Thanks for the great review. We are big via Napoli fans too and make sure to go in almost every trip.

We LOVE Via Napoli!!! I agree, it is very loud inside the restaurant. And the $3.50 per topping is a bit much. We love both the pasta dishes and the pizza, with the Piccante being my favorite pizza. I also love the Zeppole di Caterina dessert- one of the best desserts in wdw!

What exactly is Zeppole di Caterina? We are going to VN in Feb for the first time and TBH the desserts didn't wow me-and I have a massive sweet tooth!

The three of us love pizza, so it's a must on our 14 day vacation..We order the Mezzo Metro..Half spicy with jalapeño and half not so spicy with pepperoni ...1/2 metre of pizza heaven...Its on our hit list for next year in October but not at the weekend due to the F&W festival...Mayhem...

They are ricotta cheese fritters dusted w/ powdered sugar, served with a chocolate sauce and a whipped cream for dipping. They are DELISH!!!!

I had such high hopes for Via napoli..but I was less than impressed with their pizza. I have had some really great Pizza and really bad Pizza and I have to say that this was mediocre at best.

I really wanted to like it. I love wood fired pizza..but not this. I may give it another try on my next trip and it may have just been an off night in the kitchen..

Give it another try. The majority of reviews are very positive. I have eaten pizza there three times and my family loved it. But, understand it is thin crust pizza in wood fired ovens, meaning high temp and slightly charred crust every time. For some people, that simply isn't their preference.

I plan to try it again. I love thin crust and wood-fired pizza..So that didnt bother me at all. The charred crust was actually the best part. Like I said it could have been an off night in the kitchen. That happens at any restaurant.

It wasn't the worst meal we had but it wasn't the best. It could have also been my company. It was hard for me to enjoy anything about this trip...

I'm confused. If you are on the DDP do you have to pay $3.50 per topping. So if you just want pepperoni you have to pay extra?

The $3.50 per topping is for the build your own pizza. Via Napoli has several "specialty" pizzas, including a pepperoni (which my son had and really enjoyed) and those do not cost extra on the dining plan.
