Hey gang - so I have an ADR for Via Napoli - Friday June 10th at 8:30pm. :) I was checking park hours today and saw the park is closing at 9:00pm on that day.

I'm assuming since I was able to get the reservation there will not be a problem with us arriving at the restaurant 30min before Epcot closes - am I right? :confused3

Of course, my plan is to arrive a little before our scheduled time and see if we can get in earlier.

thanks!

It's not an issue at all. We often take one of the last ADR's when we eat in the WS. It makes for a really awesome walk back to the buses after your meal. They won't rush you in the restaurant and they won't rush you out of the park after, either. Enjoy the stroll. :thumbsup2

Also, if you get seated at 8:30, you could be finishing up shortly after IllumiNations ends (it starts at 9). There could still be a bit of a line at the buses when you get there.

I love 8:30 ressies at EPCOT. Like the PP said, sometimes you can step out to watch Illuminations (if you want to). Otherwise, just have a leisurely dinner and a nice, uncrowded, non-manic walk to your bus stop or the parking lot.

Watch out though for your departure time from the restaurant. Last week we had 8:30 seating at Tokyo dining for illuminations viewing and by the time we ate and waited fir everything the boat back to the resorts had stopped running. I don't know how long trams and buses run. Boat service is over At 10:00 exactly.

Busses run 2 hours after closing. If you were at BW, BC, YC, Swan or Dolphin, it wouldn't have been a terrible walk. But, if you were trying to make it over to DHS, that would have been a pain!

Except for special nights, such as Candlelight Processional evenings, 9PM is the standard closing time for Epcot and the start of IllumiNations.

We've always liked having dinner reservations around 8:30 because it gives us a full day of park time. When you walk out of the restaurant around 10 it's quiet and empty. The music is still playing and all the lights are still on. It's a wonderful walk and a nice way to end the day.

1) No problem.
2) The eatery will stay open as long as you are eating and drinking.
3) They do not rush you out.

Thank you all for the wonderful information. :)

We have done dining ressies many times before but never right before the park is closing....sounds like it is going to be so nice, I may have to do it again in the future!

Have a great day!
