Hi! We are heading to WDW for a quick 4 night trip, a surprise Christmas gift for our kids. Anyway, we ALWAYS do Le Cellier and absolutely love it, we've never been to Disney and not eaten there.
What about this new restaurant, Via Napoli, in Italy? Anyone have suggestions, stick to what we love, or try this new one?? Thanks!

If you are going this year, I doubt you'll get ADRs at either unless you've already made them :confused3 I'd vote for Le Cellier because reviews of the new place haven't been that favourable.

I have seen alot of favorable reviews for ViaNapoli, and gorgeous pics of the pizza's and italian soda's.
I would say if you have eaten at LC alot, change it up and try somethng new, you may be pleasantly surprised.

That's good to hear....I haven't had time to really read the reviews just yet. Oh and yes, I really lucked out, we just booked this trip on 12/16 and I was able to get a reservation at each one, just trying to figure out which one to cancel.

I say stick with the one you know and love. We are like you and absolutely love Le Cellier, we can't go to Disney without going there at least once. Would it be possible for you to have Via Napoli for dinner and have Le Cellier for lunch (would be one credit for both if you are on the DDP)? Maybe you can do both within your trip. Have fun.

I have eaten at both of these places and would definatly keep Le Cellier.

Via Napoli was OK...I don't have a desire to eat there a second time.

I feel the same. I am always happy to try new places but Via Napoli is not on my shortlist for a return visit.

We love Via Napoli....I have no idea why LC gets all the hype, it is just ok

The only place I've eaten in WDW worse than Via Napoli was the ABC Commissary many years ago.

Would never go back.

If you're forced to go there, get the pizza. It's edible. That's more than you can say about anything else.

Oh, and the service was terrible, too.

Wow - we love LC - had another great meal a couple of weeks ago. We tried via for lunch as well and had an awesome pizza with incredible service! If you cant do both, just flip a coin, you cant go wrong!

we really like both...but if you always eat at Le Cellier, it might mess with your concept of the perfect Disney trip to change the tradition now, lol.

The filet at Le Cellier is definitely worth it. I like steak, so would go just for it. I have concerns about the transition to signature. As for Via Napoli, we had the pizza. It was a decent pizza, but nothing special. I'm glad I tried it to say I tried it, but it may be an option when everything else is booked and I'm tired of walking.

Thanks for the replies!! I think we'll stick with Le Cellier! It's such a short trip for us this time, I don't want us to miss one of our faves....and risk something we don't like! Thanks!!:goodvibes

Have been to both twice. Le Cellier was good, but Via Napoli is our new favorite TS in Epcot. We plan on eating there again on our upcoming trips in March and August. Don't have a strong desire to eat at Le Cellier again, although I probably wouldn't complain if I had an ADR there.

I think the food at Via Napoli is very good, and it's awesome that we can have lunch there as a family for cheaper than a CS: Order a pizza & drinks and use TIW card. I know paying $25 is a lot for a pizza (although I'm happy to pay that for the calamari, fennel and arugula pizza), but it's better than paying $40 for chicken nuggets and salads IMHO.

I was really excited about Via Napoli and had every intention of booking an ADR there for our trip in June. However, the reviews have been less than stunning and I just don't feel the need to "waste" that meal there. I think the thing that bothered me the most - and I realize I only read one review like this - is that they were completely unwilling to work with the guest to make even the slightest modifications of their pizza toppings. I'm sure there must be a god reason, but that bugged me.

No question - LC. Just came back and Via Napoli was terrible. I would have eaten at LC every night of my trip if I could have - it was that good.

I personally like Via Napoli. I think people have widely varying expectations of Italian food, so reviews tend to get skewed. I read many negative views on Alferdo's back in the day but it was always one of my favorites.
