We have reservations for Via Napoli but are starting to second guess the value since we are on DDP. Plus, I have read that people either love or loathe Via Napoli. I haven't seen a lot of in between. We were thinking of changing to Cape May since we all like seafood and they have crab legs on the buffet. I haven't seen a lot of discussion on Cape May. (We haven't tried either one yet.) Any thoughts? It will be DH, DD19, DS15 and me. Thanks!

Have been to both and my choice would be Cape May as it's one of our favorites that is a must do for us every trip. I thought Via Napoli was ok, but kind of a once and done for me as I didn't find it to be anything special (just my opinion). Good luck.

You are going to get many different opinions on here and mine is different than the one above. It doesn't make their opinion wrong and mine right, just different likes and dislikes. My opinion; I would do Via Napoli every day of the week and Sunday over Cape May. CM to me is just another less than average buffet restaurant serving mass amounts of food with the focus on quantity over quality. I am of the opinion this is pretty typical of most buffets in WDW and for that matter outside of WDW. Even with the crab legs (which are very average at best) CM just doesn't do it for me. Via Napoli offers some entree's that are certainly better than typical buffet food. If you are thinking value on the DDP and you want Italian, perhaps Tutto Italia would be a better choice for you.

I agree with this. I just find the quality of food at buffets to be subpar compared to restaurants where you order from a menu. Via Napoli is my fave restaurant. So i'd always choose via over anything else. The candele pasta dish is my fave, as are the pizza's. And their tiramisu, omg, to die for. You really cant go wrong.

I would be another vote for Via Napoli or somewhere else all together. I think it depends on what you consider good seafood. If that's Red Lobster then go to Cape May. But if to you good seafood is fresh out of the water, then choose somewhere else. I grew up having access to fresh seafood from the Gulf, so there is very little seafood at Disney that I care for.

I vote for Via Napoli. DW and DS favorite as well. Food is always good. Don't stress about the decision. Just because someone gives a restaurant a good review, you may not like it at all. Go with your choice, and be happy with what you select. It can never be a wrong decision. If you don't like it, then you can always try your second choice another time. Just enjoy!!!

Via Napoli all the way! Cape May would get a vote for breakfast but since this isn't breakfast...I like Via Napoli.

We love both! Use your dining plan at Cape May. At Via Napoli, our family of five will usually go for lunch and share the really big pizza (Mezzo Metro?) and usually get an appetizer and pay OOP. VN is not a good use of a dining plan for us.

Cape May is a much better use of a dining credit, IMO. We eat there often and it is a good buffet. My DH won't go to Via Napoli anymore. :( The restaurant is noisy and the food, outside of pizza, is nothing special. But the pizza is good, just not worth a dining credit.

How about Trattoria al Forno? I had someone recommend that place, anyone try it?

I would go to Cape May, Again as many others have expressed, you are asking for and getting personal opinions and everyone's tastes or as variable as the flakes of snow.

Cape May we had a great dinner and wonderful service there this past May.

I am a Hard Core Foodie. Via Napoli is much better quality and much more original. Cape May is standard buffet AND has lots of options for everyone. The salad selection is particularly nice. I've always had good service there. The seafood has been previously frozen, so it isn't top of the line BUT it is a great place for kids and family members to try foods that may be new to them.

Via Napoli is just overpriced not very well done wood fired pizza. I would choose any restaurant over it.

We have both ADRs for August. Two of our favorite restaurants.
