Via Napoli on the dining plan?

What size pizza does each person get on the dining plan? Our family would probably all be able to share a large. Is it better to just pay OOP at Via Napoli?

You get the individual size, which in my opinion is huge and in my husbands opinion is "normal". Also note that they typically do not let you create your own - it has to be cheese or one of their signature pizzas if on the dining plan.

We were originally planning on just ordering one pizza and paying out of pocket b/c to us it made more sense financially and was PLENTY to share (the larger sizes obviously).

Size wise I could have easily shared with my son the individual sized.

We ended up having a ton of leftover credits so we did end up just each ordering our own. One benefit is you don't all have to agree on toppings!

If using dining plan credits at Via Napoli each person must use 1 TS credit for an individual pizza or other entrée. If you want a pizza with toppings other than those pizza listed you can do that but you will pay the $3.50 per topping fee. On the dining plan diners can not share food at Via Napoli.
If you want to share the larger size pizzas you would have to pay OOP.

If you are planning to share a large pizza you will have to pay OOP. As Hopefully posted, VN is one restaurant that consistently has not allowed dining plan users to share credits. You cannot use 1 credit to feed 2 or more people; each person who wants to use dining credits has to order their own individual size pizza or entree. They will also not allow combining credits for a larger size pizza.

The pasta at Via Napoli is also very good. Depending on the size of your party, you could use your credits to get a pizza and a pasta or a variety of pizzas and pastas. Either way you go (dining credits or OOP) you should have a great meal.

Can you order, eat one slice and take the rest to go?

Yes, but in the past they haven't had pizza takeout boxes, just small styrofoam containers so you would have to stack the slices or bring your own larger container.

We are a family of 3. We order 2 individual pizzas and an entree Caesar Salad. We share the pizza and salad. They brought the salad out before the pizza. Everything was fabulous!

Via Napoli is one of the better places to pay OOP at - if you share a large, its around $30, so its one of the cheaper TS meals and you don't have to worry about their restrictions.
