Via Napoli lived up to the hype

While it wasn't necessarily the best pizza I've ever had it was arguably the best pizza crust I've ever tasted (the rest of the pizza was good enough that it didn't detract from how good the crust was).

The arancini appetizer was also good and surprisingly non-greasy.

Also liked the ugly but good sunday.

Definately a good use of a DxDP credit.

What kind of pizza did you get, Masonmj84?
I've heard good things about the pepperoni, in terms of that's a favorite, and we're looking forward to our first visit in Jan.

We're big fans of Via Napoli too. We love the Fritto Misto for an appetizer. My husband always chooses the Linguini Frutti de Mare and I always have a hard time chooing between that and the Capriciosia pizza. We also have a hard time choosing between the Zeppole di Riotta and the Ugly Sundae for dessert. Their blood orange drink is also really good. Yeah, Via Napoli is a must every trip.

If you are on DDP are you able to order "large" pizza or must you order individual with your TS credit? I am toying with Via and Rose& Crown. I may even consider going to Via for lunch and maybe we could just order the really large pizza for our family of 4 (which we would pay out of pocket for). I am thinking that 4 individual pizza's (using DDP) would just be too much food.

When we went in October we were able to "pool" credits for a larger pizza. I expected to have to use each credit for an individual pizza. We were 4 adults.
However, we combined 2 credits each for 2 large pizza's.
If you are a family of 4, you will have to use 4 TS credits, however you work it out. For example, they would not allow 2 credits for a large pizza eaten by 3 people.

That is actually a very good explanation of the pizza there. The toppings and everything are good, but the crust is what really makes the Via Napoli pizzas special. We had the Pepperoni and Margherita when we ate there a couple of weeks ago. Both were excellent, but I preferred the Pepperoni.

A few people in our party chose to get pasta instead of pizza and they all really liked it as well. I love pasta, but I don't think I could ever order any there when I'd have to choose between it and the pizza!

2 credits EACH for 2 large pizza's (4 adults)? WOW thats a terrible use of credits. But if youre all ok with it, then i guess thats all that matters.

From what I understand, from what they've told their customers, they apparently became more strict with pizza & the DP. They only allow individual sizes on the DP. No more large. But if a party of 4 is willing to give up 2 credits EACH, i can understand why via would be ok with it. Lol.

I think its the pizza as a whole that makes the pizza amazing, not just the crust. But thats just my opinion. Overall, the pizza is outstanding. Love it.
BTW im with you on the pasta, I love both, but im not sure i'd be able to order the pasta over the pizza at Via!

This is not correct information being given. In October they charged 4 adults 4 credits total for 2 large pizzas to share. Each adult has to use a credit towards the pizza they are eating. The 4 adults were NOT charged a total of 8 credits for 2 pizzas.

well thats definitely more reasonable! but again, I've heard from so many that they stopped doing this. when i was there in august, the server was very strict and indicated we could only choose the individual size pizza.

Sorry I wasn't clear. 4 Adults paid a total of 4 credits for 2 large pizza's pooling our credits for 2 large rather than 4 individual. I went in expecting to each be required to buy an individual. It was our server who suggested 2 sharing 1 large pizza. They further explained that 3 of us could have pooled 3 credits for the largest size, but the 4th adult would need to order an additional pizza for the 4th credit.

Ate there last week. Pizza was awesome. DS27 loves the sausage, pepperoni pizza. He says it is the best freshest sausage he has ever eaten! BUT!!! They have taken my favorite dessert off the menu. The Zepolle is GONE! Our server said the chef took it off the menu.
We skipped dessert all together we were so disappointed.
