Via Napoli, Chefs de France, or Coral Reef???

Worst part of our last experience at VN was a waiter who ran outside after us yelling that we didn't leave enough money. We had left a 15% tip. He was figuring 18% which meant we under payed for the meal in his view. It was just 3 of us so no mandated 18% tip. Never before have I had a waiter anywhere run out after us demanding a higher tip. VN is off our list.

That's just plain crazy. I would be asking for a manager immediately. Wow, just wow.

I too follow the crowd of Via Napoli lovers! My hubby and I eat there every trip! While the service may be hit or miss, our food has always been phenomenal. I always ge the margaherita pizza and tiramisu for dessert.

We have also eaten at Coral Reef and Le Chefs...Le Chefs was okay but I thought the portions were small and I didn't care for the onion soup (but I didn't feel like I had any other good choices). Coral reef has been hit or miss for years on both service and food imho. Not once have we ever been seated next to the tanks but that's okay I wouldn't want to wait...and we have always waited an hour or two despite having an ADR. Bleh.

Whatever you endup choosing Im sure you will have a great family dinner!
