When we were there April 30th-May 8th we had an ADR for Boma, but didn't feel like traveling over there, so decided to see if we could get into Via Napoli. When we called, the only thing Disney Dining had was for really late, so since we were in Epcot anyway we just walked in and asked if we could possible get an ADR for later that night. We were offered a variety of times. We all three went in planning to order pizzas, but as we were walking to our table saw a waiter with some pasta dishes. We ordered the Fritto Misto appetizer to share, then two of us ordered the seafood linguine and the other ordered the chicken rigatoni. Everything was soooo good! We weren't that fond of the desserts, but that was our waitress' fault. She left our desserts sitting too long before she brought them to us. Two of us had ordered the zeppole and they were cold. I ordered the cherry gelato sundae and my gelato was melted. Service was also really, really slow, but again that was our waitress's fault. We'll definitely be returning though. It was one of the best meals of the trip.

We also agree, we thought it was amazing. Oh and those fried ricotta cheese fritters with the chocolate sauce and whip cream for dessert are to die for :cloud9:

OMG I wasn't gonna reply to another VN post because all I ever say about it is how GREAT the zepolle (ricotta fritter) is but..........couldn't resist. One of the best things I have ever eaten!!!!!!:love:

I love it! DGF and I went for lunch saturday....I love hearing the people complain that the sauce and toppings are not enough, because their pizza knowledge goes far as dominoes/pizza hut....If you want massive toppings and stomach pain, go to uno's or giordano's...

ignorance is bliss....

We have an ADR for June 4th and I can not wait!!! Sounds fantastic....I think DD and I will share an individual size and get salad too.:thumbsup2 Then Gelato for dessert....:cool1::cool1:May have too try the blood orange drink also...Wow I am getting hungry just thinking about it!:rolleyes1

We are thinking about doing similar when we go for lunch in October, though I am thinking we may split an app instead of a salad, then an individual pizza. Not sure about dessert since we will be heading to MK for the rest of the afternoon/night.

Not all taste preferences are borne of ignorance. There are many varied types of pizza, even in Italy, and each have their supporters and detractors. Neapolitan style pizza isn't my favorite, but it isn't because I prefer Dominoes or Uno. It isn't because of sparse toppings either.

We ate there twice last week it was that good! We had the Margherita pizza

Via Napoli has become our favorite place to dine in EPCOT :cool1:

We had awesome service and the atmosphere is wonderful!

Now I have to wait until November to go back :sad1:

I would love to take my whole family here (5 children plus my wife and me), but my oldest special needs son does not do well in restaurants. We typically go to quick serve or buffets when we go to WDW. I may be able to swing this if the food come out quickly.
For those who have already been...how long does it take for the food to come out after you order? The only way we could go is if the food is served pretty quickly.
Thanks!

Ours came out pretty quickly. You could familiarize yourself with the menu from the WDW official website right before you go. When your server introduces him/herself you could say, "We're needing to place our whole order right away as we have a time issue." Then proceed to order salad and appys that will come out quickly while the pizza is being made. My guess is that you won't wait too much longer than at a buffet if you order some appys that can get to the table quickly. They will also bring bread and that can help. I wouldn't hesitate to pull the server aside and explain that you have a special needs child that needs to have food come quickly. My guess is that you will be able to make Via Napoli work for your situation!:thumbsup2

Must be many subpar pizza places out there...

Or there must be many people who don't share your taste in pizza. My family doesn't care for the deep dish kind that seems to be sold everywhere else. Nor do we feel the need to have half a cow and a couple of her barnyard friends on top of the cheese...
VN's was thin and light, the toppings tasted great, and it definitely was closer to the kind of pizza we're used to getting in Italy than to anything we've ever had in the US.

As I already posted our service about two weeks ago was really, really slow, but that was our waitress's fault. All three courses we had to wait forever on, then waited forever again for our check. However, if you tell your waitress straight out, as soon as you get there that you are in a hurry, you probably wouldn't have that problem. The food was really good though and worth the wait.
