Via Napoli and Grand Floridian Cafe

My wife and I are arriving on Halloween and will be trying some new places to eat and I wanted to get a sense of what other think of Via Napoli and Grand Floridian Cafe.

One thing though please. I want to know what people think of VN-other than pizza. I've seen plenty of comments on the pizza there and thoughout WDW in general, so, what about the rest.

Grand Floridian Cafe--pretty good...just avoid the steak. We were warned by friends that their steaks there were bad in February. We have always enjoyed most of the food at GFC, so thought maybe they had just experienced an "off night". So, in May nine of us ordered steaks (strip and ribeye, I believe) and every steak was lousy! I mean really bad! I can recommend the side salad that has cashews in it. It is a favorite!

GFC is excellent! We stumbled on dinner there back when Tropical Storm Fay was making our trip miserable so we just hopped the monorail from the Poly to the GF and we were so glad we did! The food is excellent and the portions are huge, great food and service

Via Napoli's apps are also very good, we had arancini (fried risotto balls stuffed with fresh mozzarella and meat ragu) and calimari and liked them both. I hear thier salads are also quite good. We also saw some pasta dishes that looked quite good as well, and didn't hear anyone complaining about any of them when we were there.

I've eaten at GFC for breakfast, lunch and dinners over the course of many stays. I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal. The service is usually very good and there isn't usually a long wait. I eat there at least once on every trip.
